Display system for transportation networks
A display device controlled via a smart phone (preferably using an TNC App) to display content selected by a requesting rider (e.g., code, symbol, the rider name, or a photo) in a clear and visible way to the waiting rider is a convenient method to identify the rider's designated vehicle instead of trying to search through model, color, and license plates of approaching vehicles as they enter a pickup area (e.g., airport designated area). The selected content is displayed on a display unit on the designated vehicle, and is transmitted to the display unit via a server associated with the designated vehicle using a secure protocol.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR USING CONNECTED VEHICLES AS AN ADVERTISEMENT PLATFORM
A connected vehicle configured to detect presence of people near the connected vehicle via one or more proximity sensors is disclosed. The connected vehicle may be configured to reproduce one or more audio advertisements via external displays and/or external speakers of the connected vehicle. The one or more advertisements may be reproduced in such a way that the one or more advertisements reproduced may provide the people with an alert message informing them of the presence of the connected vehicle, in place of imaginary engine sounds, for safety of people outside the connected vehicle.
ADAPTIVE INTERACTION SYSTEM WITH OTHER ROAD USERS
A system and method for operating an automated vehicle. A sensor is configured to monitor an ORU (other road user) external to the automated vehicle thereby identifying the ORU with respect to the automated vehicle. A processor determines a state of the ORU and a context of the ORU and communicates a message to the ORU based on the determined state of the ORU and the context of the ORU.
Exterior lighting
Light-based devices may be provided that emit light. The light-based devices may be incorporated into systems such as vehicles. The light-based devices may include light sources such as light-emitting diodes and lasers. Mirrors may be used to collimate light from the light sources. Light modulators may be used to pattern light from the light sources. The light sources may include light sources of different colors. Arrays of pixels may be used to provide dynamically varying patterns of emitted light. A light source may produce light that is diffracted by an array of diffractive elements on a window. Mechanical and electrical shutters may obscure light sources, mirrors, and light-emitting components mounted on windows.
DELIVERY ROBOT
Described herein is a delivery robot that can be programmed to travel from one location to another in open spaces that have few restrictions on the robot's path of travel. The delivery robot may operate in an autonomous mode, a remote controlled mode, or a combination thereof. The delivery robot can include a cargo area for transporting physical items. The robot can include exterior display devices and/or lighting devices to convey information to people that the robot may be encountering, including indications of the robot's direction of travel, current status, and/or other information.
AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE, DELIVERY SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM
Provided are an autonomous vehicle 100 traveling along a set route, a delivery system, and a program, the autonomous vehicle including a pair of display units 103 installed at left and right on the front face of the main body and a monitoring camera 104 for shooting the front, sides, and rear of the autonomous vehicle 100, wherein by displaying predetermined eye-shaped images on the display unit 103 based on the state of the autonomous vehicle 100 and the images shot by the monitoring camera 104, the eye-shaped images are changed depending on the state of obstacles to ensure friendliness to people in stores and at delivery destinations as well as surrounding people during travel.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR USING CONNECTED VEHICLES AS AN ADVERTISEMENT PLATFORM
By way of example, novel systems and methods for reproducing advertisements on connected vehicles are disclosed. In one example embodiment, a system of connected vehicles parked near in a parking lot and each delivers advertisement and participates in an advertisement event. Each of the connected vehicles is configured to reproduce one or more advertisements when one of the connected vehicles is determined to receive a signal from a remote controller associated with the one of the connected vehicles.

A vehicular display device includes at least one display panel arranged on a vehicle body of a vehicle and configured to display an image, and a display control unit configured to control display of the image. The display panel includes a movable portion provided on the vehicle body, and the display control unit includes an image control unit configured to control a display form of an image when the movable portion is operated.
Bus with a safety lighting system for road users
A vehicle, such as an articulated bus, includes a lighting system with a light emitting surface. The lighting system being configured for displaying a first lighting configuration and a second lighting configuration. The first lighting configuration and the second lighting configuration are displayed by different proportions of the light emitting surface. The vehicle further receives a monitoring device with a position monitoring module configured for monitoring the position of a road user with respect to the vehicle. The lighting system being further configured for switching from the first lighting configuration to the second lighting configuration depending on the position of the road user with respect to the vehicle. A corresponding monitoring process is further provided.

Disclosed is a cabin system configured to acquire first information about a first user and second information about a second user through a communication device, to specify each of the first user and the second user based on image data received from an internal camera or an external camera, to provide a control signal to a display or a speaker such that content is provided to a user based on an electrical signal generated by an input device, to determine a first boarding seat of the first user among seats according to the first information and to determine a second boarding seat of the second user among the seats according to the second information, and to determine the posture of the first boarding seat according to the first information and to determine the posture of the second boarding seat according to the second information.
