TRAILER MODE BLIND SPOT SENSOR

A sensing system of a vehicle includes a rear view mirror coupled to a body of the vehicle and movable between a first position and a second position. The system also includes a proximity sensor coupled to the vehicle. The proximity sensor is obscured by the mirror in the first position.

Truck mirror positioning device

A truck mirror positioning device for adjusting the position of a rear-view truck mirror includes a mounting bracket adapted to be attached to a truck external to the truck driver's cabin. A pivotal support means is provided mechanically coupled to the mounting bracket for substantially supporting the weight of the truck mirror. An electric motor is mounted on the mounting bracket for moving the mirror, and a gearbox is mechanically coupled to the motor and adapted to be mechanically coupled to the truck mirror so as to adjust the plane in which the mirror lies wherein, in use, an operator can adjust the angle of the mirror by activating the electric motor.

Auto-adjusting side-view mirrors

A vehicle side-view mirror control system includes a pair of extendable side-view mirrors and a controller configured to receive and store one or more trailer identifying indicia and one or more predetermined extendable side-view mirror configurations. The controller is configured to control translation of at least one of the pair of side-view mirrors to a one of the one or more predetermined extendable side-view mirror configurations according to the one or more stored trailer identifying indicia. The one or more trailer identifying indicia define or identify a specific trailer having been previously towed by the vehicle.

A mirror assembly includes an adjustable support system for supporting a mirror. The adjustable support system includes a first peripheral support element and a second peripheral support element, each having an adjustable height, and optionally a third, central support element having a fixed height. Each of the first and second peripheral support elements is coupled with a respective linear actuator for adjusting their respective heights, thereby adjusting and/or rotating the mirror. In some embodiments, additional peripheral elements are included at opposite sides of each of the first and second peripheral support elements to provide additional balance and/or dampening when the mirror is adjusted.

Infant observation mirror assembly with temperature display for attachment to a top portion of a rear vehicle seat includes a main panel having opposed front and rear surfaces and a mirror embedded in the front surface thereof. The mirror assembly further includes a temperature display section defined on the front surface of the main panel. A positioning base is coupled to the rear surface of the main panel. The main panel is pivotably attached to the positioning base for allowing rotation about a horizontal axis and a vertical axis. A mounting harness attaches to the positioning base. The mounting harness removably attaches to the top portion of the rear vehicle seat to hold the mirror assembly in a selected lateral and vertical position on the rear vehicle seat.

FOLD REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY FOR MOTOR VEHICLES

A fold rearview mirror assembly for a motor vehicle comprises a base member a mirror head, and a motor component for rotating, through a drive means comprising a gear wheel assembly, the mirror housing relative to the base member between a mirror operative condition and a mirror folded condition, and vice versa. The gear wheel assembly comprises a first and second gear wheels coupled to each other through first coupling means. The first gear wheel engages a motor component through a second coupling means and the second gear wheel in turn engages the base member through a third coupling means. The first coupling means allow the first and second gear wheels to be rotated together in one direction, and allow the first gear wheel to be rotated relative to the second gear wheel in the reverse direction.

EXTERIOR MIRROR ASSEMBLY WITH ACTUATOR

An exterior mirror assembly with an actuator is provided. The actuator comprises: a gear element, a driving unit and a limiting element. The driving unit is configured to impart a rotation of the gear element. The limiting element is adjacent to a circumference of the gear element. The gear element has a teeth portion with a first end and a second end and the teeth portion extends along the circumference of the gear element. The limiting element leans against the first end or the second end of the teeth portion when the driving unit drives the gear element to rotate by an angle.

Door mirror rotation control device and door mirror rotation control method

A door mirror rotation control device includes a control part controlling drive of a motor to cause a door mirror to switch between a folded status and an unfolded status. The control part includes a motor drive controller controlling drive of the motor and a motor action determination part determining a drive content of the motor. The motor action determination part detects raindrop information during drive of the motor, and determines the drive content of the motor as a normal action or a specific action based on whether the raindrop information is acquired. Compared to the normal action, a frequency of rotation changes of the motor during a period until drive of the motor ends is high in the specific action. The motor drive controller is configured to control drive of the motor in the normal action or the specific action determined by the motor action determination part.
