Exterior mirror assembly with actuator
An exterior rearview mirror system for a vehicle includes an exterior rearview mirror assembly having a mounting portion mountable at a side of a vehicle and a mirror head portion pivotally adjustable relative to the mounting portion. The mirror assembly includes an actuator operable to impart pivotal movement of the mirror head portion relative to said mounting portion. The actuator includes a first motor and a second motor that are operable in tandem to cooperatively cause a common drive gear of a gear system to be driven to pivot the mirror head portion relative to the mounting portion. Operation of the first and second motors is synchronized and causes the common drive gear to rotate. A shutoff circuit is operable to determine a stalled condition and, responsive to such determination, is operable to deactivate driving of the common drive gear by the at least two motors.

Vehicle door mirror assembly
An external mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a support arm adapted to be affixed to an associated vehicle side door and a housing movably mounted to the support arm. A glass assembly is attached to the housing. A bracket is supported within the housing for mounting an actuator, and the actuator is configured to selectively adjust the housing and glass assembly together and in tandem relative to the bracket to adjust a field of view of the glass assembly as viewed by an associated vehicle operator. A pin disposed between the housing and the bracket is configured to transfer an impact or load exerted on the housing into the bracket.

Folding rearview mirror for motor vehicles
A base member fixed to a vehicle, a housing with a rearview mirror, a motor component to rotate the rearview housing relative to the base, two sets of ramps independent of each other, capable of sliding on corresponding fixed ramps of the base element and first and second resilient elements. The ramps of the first and second sets have different inclinations and the resilient elements have different spring rates from one another, depending on whether the drive housing is manually or motor driven.

Powerfold actuator for exterior mirror
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head pivotally mounted at a mounting arm configured for attachment at a side of a vehicle. The mirror head includes a mirror casing and a reflective element. A powerfold actuator is operable to pivot the mirror head relative to the mounting arm between at least a folded position and a drive position. The powerfold actuator includes a primary detent that is engaged to maintain the mirror head at the drive position when the mirror head is pivoted via the actuator to the drive position. The powerfold actuator includes a secondary detent. Following pivoting via the powerfold actuator of the mirror head to the folded position, when the mirror head is manually pivoted from the folded position to the drive position, the primary detent is disengaged and the secondary detent is engaged to maintain the mirror head at the drive position.
