Adjusting instrument for an exterior vision unit, comprising: a base shaft, a housing surrounding the base shaft, which is pivotable around a longitudinal axis of the base shaft in an adjustment range, wherein the housing is provided with a housing ring, and a drive ring surrounding the base shaft. The drive ring is provided with a cam which can cooperate with the housing ring so as, upon pivoting of the housing relative to the drive ring in a pivoting direction around the base shaft, to move the housing via the housing ring from a high housing position along the base shaft downwards into a low housing position, and upon pivoting of the drive ring relative to the housing in an opposite pivoting direction around the base shaft, to move the drive ring along the base shaft upwards from a low drive ring position into a high drive ring position.

A vehicle mirror device includes a main body, a drive unit, and a control unit. The main body includes a mirror member and a case member. The mirror member and the case member are provided to be movable integrally with each other. The drive unit is configured to rotate the main body around a first rotation axis and a second rotation axis. The first rotation axis extends along an up-down direction in a vehicle mounted state, and the second rotation axis extends along a left-right direction in the vehicle mounted state. The control unit is configured to control the drive unit such that the main body rotates in a rotation direction and at rotational speed in accordance with a type of a signal from a vehicle.

A vehicle mirror device includes a main body, a drive unit, and a control unit. The main body includes a mirror member and a case member. The mirror member and the case member are provided to be movable integrally with each other. A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting arm, a mirror head and an electrically-operated actuator. The mounting arm includes a base mounting portion that is configured for attachment at an exterior side portion of a vehicle. The mirror head includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly. The actuator is secured at an actuator-mounting bracket of the mounting arm. With the mirror assembly mounted at an exterior portion of a side door of a vehicle, electrical operation of the actuator moves the mirror head to adjust a rearward view provided by the mirror reflective element to the driver of the vehicle viewing the mirror reflective element. A mounting post of the mounting arm passes through an opening of the mirror head that provides clearance between the mirror head and the mounting arm to allow movement of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm during electrical operation of the actuator.
VEHICULAR EXTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting arm, a mirror head and an electrically-operated actuator. The mounting arm includes a base mounting portion that is configured for attachment at an exterior side portion of a vehicle. The mirror head includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly. LOW-PROFILE ACTUATOR FOR EXTENDABLE CAMERA
A vehicular imaging system includes a camera device disposed at an exterior portion of a vehicle. The camera device includes a pivotable arm that accommodates a camera. The pivotable arm is pivotally mounted at a mounting base at the vehicle and is pivotable between at least a drive position and a folded position. An actuator includes a pivot post structure attached to the mounting base and an output gear disposed at the pivot post structure, the actuator operable to pivot the pivotable arm about the output gear. The actuator includes a primary detent that is engaged to maintain the pivotable arm at the drive position when the pivotable arm is pivoted to the drive position. The actuator includes a secondary detent that is disengaged when the pivotable arm is manually pivoted between the folded position and the drive position.
PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONAL ASSEMBLY FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
The peripheral functional assembly comprises a base bracket to be fixedly attached to a motor vehicle and an electric actuator assembly pivotally mounted to the base bracket. The electric actuator assembly comprises driving means for pivoting to the base bracket. The electric actuator assembly also comprises a cover assembly enclosing the driving means immediately adjacent the driving means. The cover assembly is also configured for supporting a functional element such as an electrical device.
PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONAL ASSEMBLY FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
The peripheral functional assembly comprises a base bracket to be fixedly attached to a motor vehicle and an electric actuator assembly pivotally mounted to the base bracket. The electric actuator assembly comprises driving means for pivoting to the base bracket. The electric actuator assembly also comprises a cover assembly enclosing the driving means immediately adjacent the driving means. The cover assembly is also configured for supporting a functional element such as an electrical device.
