Control device for vehicle seat belt
A control device for a vehicle seat belt, includes: a retraction unit that is configured to retract a seat belt through use of a driving force of a motor and to stop retracting the seat belt when the motor is stopped from being driven; an acceleration measurement unit that is configured to measure an acceleration of a vehicle; a state detection unit that is configured to detect whether or not the vehicle is in a stable state while running; and a control unit that is configured to stop driving the motor when the acceleration measured by the acceleration measurement unit during driving of the motor has remained lower than a first set acceleration for at least a first set time and the vehicle has remained in the stable state detected by the state detection unit for at least a second set time.
Dual direction accident prevention and assistive braking system
A dual direction accident prevention (DDAP) and assistive braking system (ABS) which detects both the risk of a frontal accident and a rear accident and then coordinates braking to prevent both if possible while giving priority to preventing a frontal accident. In the event of an imminent rear collision with an object or vehicle in front of a driver, the system will choose a braking force which minimizes the impact of the rear collision, while determining a safe approach toward the front obstacle. Furthermore, if a vehicle is approaching the driver and an accident is imminent, and there is no further room in front to reduce the effect of the imminent impact, the system prepares the vehicle and driver by bracing for impact by applying emergency brakes, tightening seatbelts, etc.
CONTROL APPARATUS, SYSTEM, VEHICLE, AND VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD
A control apparatus includes a controller configured to, upon detecting parking of a vehicle at a spot where parking is prohibited, generate control data for controlling the vehicle to prevent a state of the vehicle from transitioning to a state in which a power source of the vehicle is stopped and an occupant of the vehicle is out of the vehicle, and output the generated control data.
Ride vehicle restraint system
A restraint system for a ride vehicle includes a rigid restraint configured to extend across a passenger to secure the passenger within a seat of the ride vehicle and a soft restraint coupled to the rigid restraint. The soft restraint includes a pliable material configured to conform to a substantial portion of a torso of the passenger and a haptic feedback system integrated with the soft restraint. The haptic feedback system is configured to generate vibrational forces and impart the vibrational forces to the torso of the passenger.
METHOD FOR OPEN AIRWAY POSITION AFTER A VEHICLE CRASH
A computer-implemented method for moving an occupant of a vehicle seat to open airway position after a vehicle crash event. The vehicle seat having a seat cushion, a backrest and a headrest. The method includes detecting occurrence of a vehicle crash event, and moving at least a portion of the backrest and/or headrest backwards and pulling an occupant of the vehicle seat backwards towards the backrest by powered retraction of a seat belt of the occupant by means of a seat belt retractor.
Restraining system for a vehicle
A restraining system for restraining an occupant of a vehicle, the system including: an occupant supporting device for supporting the occupant, the occupant supporting device has a longitudinal direction along which an occupant is intended to be positioned; a blanket including at least one restraint belt including a first end and a second end attachable to attachment members arranged on either side of the occupant supporting device such that the at least one restraint belt extends in a transverse direction across the occupant supporting device, the attachment members are movable such that the position of the at least one restraint belt is adjustable in the longitudinal direction, an activation control unit configured to receive a signal indicative of a vehicle collision, and in response to the received signal control a pre-tension device to increase the tension in the at least one restraint belt.
Occupant protection device, method for controlling occupant protection device and program
An occupant protection device includes: a collision prediction unit configured to predict a collision state including a collision direction in a vehicle; a seat direction detection unit configured to detect a direction of a seat that is rotatable around a vertical axis of the vehicle with respect to the vehicle; a driving unit configured to adjust a degree of tension of a seatbelt; and a control unit configured to control the driving unit in accordance with the collision direction with respect to the vehicle predicted by the collision prediction unit and the direction of the seat with respect to the vehicle detected by the seat direction detection unit to change the degree of tension of the seatbelt.
Vehicle occupant restraint device and method for operating a vehicle occupant restraint device
A vehicle occupant restraint device for the protection of a vehicle occupant in a vehicle seat comprises plural restraining elements and a controller. The controller differentiates between a first situation in which the vehicle seat is in a position within the range of a standard position, and a second situation in which the vehicle seat with the vehicle occupant is in a position beyond the standard position. When the first situation is given, the controller activates a tensioning unit for tensioning a seat belt of the second restraining element and an airbag of the first restraining element. When the second situation is given, a third restraining element integrated in the vehicle seat and/or operatively connected with the vehicle seat can be activated and/or connected by the controller so that the vehicle seat is moved initially via the third restraining element to a position within the range of the standard position.
Method for triggering safety functions
A method for triggering at least two safety functions from a predefined plurality of safety functions in a motor vehicle, including a) recognizing a trigger signal for one first safety function, and b) generating a trigger signal for at least one second safety function, if according to step a) the trigger signal for the first safety function has been recognized, the first safety function being of a first function type and at least one of the second safety functions being of a second function type differing from the first function type.
METHOD TO IMPROVE RIDE COMFORT AND REDUCE DRIVER AND PASSENGER ANXIETY IN A VEHICLE
A number of variations may include a system or method of monitoring vehicle control actions and communicating upcoming control actions, such as deceleration or lateral movement, to vehicle occupants prior to occurrence of the control action such that occupants are aware of upcoming vehicle control actions and occupant stress or anxiety may be reduced during operation of a vehicle.
