Occupancy alarm system
An occupancy alarm system for warning a driver of vehicle occupancy includes an electronics module that is configured to couple to a vehicle, and which is operationally couplable to an electronic control unit (ECU) and an electrical circuit of the vehicle. The electronics module comprises a module transceiver and a plurality of sensors, which is configured to determine an occupancy status of the vehicle. A fob device that is retained by a driver who exits the vehicle comprises a fob receiver, which is GPS enabled, a fob transceiver, and a speaker. CPU programming code that is positioned on a CPU of the ECU enables the ECU to selectively actuate the module transceiver, based on occupancy status of the vehicle and a position of the driver relative to the vehicle, to communicate an alert signal to the fob device via the fob transceiver to alert the driver to the occupancy status.
BIOLOGICAL INFORMATION OUTPUT DEVICE, BIOLOGICAL INFORMATION OUTPUT METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
A biological information output device eliminates data having a value equal to or greater than a predetermined value from data obtained from an electromagnetic wave reflected on a body surface and acquires data having a value less than the predetermined value; specifies a frequency peak in a predetermined period of the acquired data; creates a histogram by adding an occurrence frequency at which the frequency peak appears for each different class as a frequency while defining a prescribed frequency range where the specified frequency peak exists as one class; and determines, when a frequency of a class having the frequency which is a maximum occurrence frequency among classes in the histogram exceeds a predetermined threshold value, the class as an initial value of biological information. The biological information output device extracts the biological information from the data based on a cycle specified by the determined initial value.
Radar based inverse detection sensor system
The present invention discloses radar sensor system, operating in 24 GHz to 300 GHz frequency band, and its method of operation, comprising utilization of the passive markers, reflecting radio wave in the direction of illumination advantageously in cross polarization manner. The proposed system can detect if on the vehicle seat a baby, kid or adult average size person is sitting. The proposed system can detect intrusion, non-occupied area, belt speed, rotation speed and if the package is filled with sufficient level of liquids.
3D time of flight active reflecting sensing systems and methods
The system and method provide for identification of dynamic objects in an enclosed space and the presence of a component in a primary location. The system uses an active electro-optical 3D sensor, such as a three-dimensional time of flight camera, to identify the presence or absence of a reflected pulse, to determine, for example, proper placement of a seat belt, or a change in characteristics of a reflected pulse to determine a change in location, and thus possible movement, of a living creature in a vehicle, for example.
SEAT OCCUPANCY DETECTION WITH ACCELERATION SIGNAL
The invention relates to a system for seat occupancy detection, comprising a vehicle seat for a driver with an upper part and at least one suspension-damper system, an acceleration sensor being arranged on the upper part which is designed to determine a characteristic of an acceleration of the upper part as a function of time, an evaluation unit being provided which is designed to create an evaluation of the characteristic of the acceleration and optionally to send a signal to a higher-level control unit, the evaluation unit also being designed to assign the evaluation to a value of a mass of an object with which the vehicle seat is currently occupied.
Vehicle occupant detection device
A vehicle occupant detection device according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided. The vehicle occupant detection device includes a sensor unit disposed in a vehicle to detect biometric information of an occupant located in a front seat of the vehicle and a rear seat of the vehicle, a control unit analyzing the biometric information measured by the sensor unit, and an output unit outputting a warning message on the basis of the information analyzed by the control unit, wherein the control unit determines that the occupant located in the rear seat is in a dangerous state when the biometric information is not detected in the front seat but detected in the rear seat.
Occupancy detection systems and methods
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for occupancy detection. In various embodiments, the occupancy detection system includes a server configured to wirelessly communicate with one or more occupancy detectors. Each occupancy detector includes or is associated with an object holder. The object holder can have one of two occupancy states: an occupied state in which an object occupies the object holder or an unoccupied state in which no object occupies the object holder. The occupancy detector includes a sensor and a controller configured to use sensor feedback to determine when the object holder changes occupancy states from the occupied state to the unoccupied state or from the unoccupied state to the occupied state. When the controller determines that the object holder changes occupancy states, the controller generates occupancy data that reflects this changed state and sends it to the server.
Passenger detection device, passenger detection system, and passenger detection method
A passenger detection device (10) includes a face image obtaining unit (12) obtaining a face image captured in a state in which a passenger in a vehicle irradiated with irradiation light from light sources. The device further includes: a reflected-image position detecting unit (14) detecting, from the face image, positions of respective reflected images of the light sources reflected on eyeglasses worn by the passenger; an eyeglasses feature detecting unit (15) detecting, from the face image, positions of center points of lenses as feature information of the eyeglasses; a head position detecting unit (16) detecting a head position of the passenger on the basis of the positions of respective reflected images; and a face orientation detecting unit (17) detecting face orientation of the passenger on the basis of relation between the head position of the passenger, the positions of respective reflected images, and the positions of center points of lenses.
