BIOMETRIC FREQUENCY
A plurality of frequency orthogonal signals are transmitted into a person. At least one of the plurality of frequency orthogonal signals is received at a receiving antenna or conductor. The received signal is measured. Characteristics of the received signal are used to establish a result related to that person.

The present invention relates to provide a fire risk factor notifying device and method in an interior vehicle environment based on an interior monitoring sensor (IMS) which may recognize objects which may cause a vehicle fire based on an IMS in an interior vehicle environment. According to the present invention, in the IMS-based fire risk factor notifying device and method in an interior vehicle environment, one or more of an autonomous vehicle and a server of the present invention may be associated with artificial intelligence (AI) modules, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), robots, augmented reality (AR) devices, virtual reality (VR) devices, and 5G service-related devices.
Occupancy detection system
An occupancy detection system for at least one vehicle seat includes: an antenna arrangement having an antenna; a control device that applies a radio-frequency transmission signal to, and receives a response signal from, the antenna arrangement; and a transmit array having a plurality of structured metallic layers disposed above each other and extending laterally, each two neighbouring metallic layers isolated from each other by an intermediate dielectric layer. The antenna arrangement transmits a radio-frequency transmission field through the transmit array onto the vehicle seat in response to the transmission signal and receives a radio-frequency response field through the transmit array to generate the response signal. The transmit array is adapted to refract at least one of the transmission field and the response field. The transmit array has a receive section that focuses a response field from a position of a vehicle seat to a position of a receive antenna.
OCCUPANT DETECTION DEVICE AND OCCUPANT DETECTION METHOD
An occupant detection device includes: an acquisition unit configured to acquire, based on an intensity of a reflected wave generated when a transmission wave transmitted toward an interior of a moving body is reflected by an object present in the interior, point cloud information indicating a three-dimensional-coordinate position of the object moving in the interior as a point cloud including a plurality of detection points; a generation unit configured to generate, based on the point cloud information, a seat row map for each seat row including a plurality of seating regions, the seat row map indicating a distribution of the detection points in a plane region corresponding to an arrangement direction of the plurality of seating regions and a height direction of the moving body; a setting unit configured to set, on the seat row map, an upper end line along an upper end portion of a plane point cloud including two or more of the detection points; and an estimation unit configured to estimate the number of occupants for each seat row based on a shape feature of the upper end line.
VEHICLE, SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING SEAT BELT WEARING CONDITION, AND METHOD OF DETERMINING SEAT BELT WEARING CONDITION
A system that determines a condition of wearing of a seat belt, including: a marker provided on at least a part of the seat belt; an image capture processing unit that emits electromagnetic waves of the prescribed wavelength band toward a predetermined range and that creates an image indicating intensity distribution of electromagnetic waves of the prescribed wavelength band, based on reflected waves reflected in the predetermined range; a shape estimating unit that estimates a shape of an occupant based on the image, detects the marker from the image, and estimates a shape of the seat belt based on the marker detected; and a determining unit that determines the condition of wearing of the seat belt by the occupant, based on a positional relationship between the occupant and the seat belt.
POLARIMETRIC RADAR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING AND CLASSIFYING VEHICLE OCCUPANTS AND OTHER OBJECTS IN A VEHICLE INTERIOR
A polarimetric radar system for detecting and classifying objects positioned in an interior of a vehicle includes a radar transmitter unit for transmitting radar waves of at least two different polarizations, a radar receiving unit for receiving radar waves of at least two different polarizations, a radar signal generating unit for generating and providing radar waves to be transmitted by the at least one radar transmitter unit, a signal processing circuitry for processing the generated radar waves and the received radar waves and a signal evaluation unit that is configured to receive processed signals from the signal processing circuitry, to estimate values for a set of predetermined object parameters on the basis of the received processed signals, and to select an object class upon detecting a match of the estimated values for the set of object parameters with one out of a plurality of predetermined sets of object parameters.
AIRBAG CONTROL DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
An airbag control device and a control method thereof are provided. The airbag control device includes a sensor, a controller and a signal interceptor. The sensor is configured to sense a preset inflation space of an airbag. The controller is coupled to the sensor. The controller is configured to determine whether the preset inflation space is in a barrier free status. When the preset inflation space is not in the barrier free status, the controller outputs a control signal. The signal interceptor is coupled to the controller. The signal interceptor is configured to disable the airbag according to the control signal.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING A CHECKING OF A PERSON BY MEANS OF INFRARED RADIATION AS WELL AS A MOTOR VEHICLE HAVING SAID DEVICE
A method for performing a checking of a person, such as a vehicle passenger, by way of infrared radiation involves determining the distance between a source of infrared radiation and the person by way of light according to a distance definition and setting the intensity of the infrared radiation in dependence on the distance as determined.
Seating state detection device
A seating state detection device includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire a detection signal group in a predetermined period that is output as a result of transmission and reception of waves by a radio wave sensor mounted on a vehicle, a signal extraction unit configured to extract specific-intensity signals in a predetermined reflection intensity range from the detection signal group, and a determination unit configured to determine whether an occupant in the vehicle is in a first riding state in which the occupant is directly seated on a seat or in a second riding state in which the occupant is seated in an infant auxiliary device, based on a distribution mode of the specific-intensity signals.
