A steering wheel module for a vehicle, the steering wheel module including: a steering wheel having a rim formed in a ring shape, and a body part extending from a central portion of the rim toward a vehicle and coupled to the vehicle; an airbag device coupled to the body part and having a cushion configured to be deployed toward a driver when the airbag device operates; and a display device coupled to the body part in a state in which the display device is spaced apart from the airbag device and positioned to be closer to the driver than the airbag device.

The invention relates to a vibration absorber ring (10) for fastening a gas generator (12) to a vehicle steering wheel (14), in a manner capable of vibrating, with a ring axis (A), a support portion (18) for fastening the vibration absorber ring (10) to a holding element, and an absorber portion (22) for fastening the gas generator (16) to the vibration absorber ring (10), wherein an elastic damping element (24) is provided, which extends in the axial direction from the absorber portion (22) towards a free end (26) and, between the absorber portion (22) and the free end (26), has a fastening element (28) for the gas generator (12), wherein the support portion (18) and the absorber portion (22) are spaced apart from each other in the axial direction.

An inflatable airbag system can be configured to be mounted to a frontal region of a vehicle. The inflatable airbag system includes a housing configured to be mounted on a steering wheel of a vehicle and an inflator assembly at least partially disposed within the housing. The inflatable airbag system includes an airbag that receives inflation gas from the inflator assembly to expand and deploy out of the housing from a packaged configuration to a deployed configuration to provide occupant crash protection during a collision event, the airbag defining an inflatable chamber. A diffuser is disposed within the inflatable chamber and is in fluid communication with the inflator assembly. An occupant-facing panel of the diffuser comprises an aperture disposed in the center of the occupant-facing panel of the diffuser.

The disclosure is directed to a steering device assembly for positioning and fastening an airbag module on a steering device of a motor vehicle. The steering device assembly comprises a first positioning body having a detent lever, a carrier, a spring element, and a second positioning body. The detent lever comprises a first leg and a second leg connected to the first leg at one leg end the detent lever is mounted for pivoting between an initial position and a final assembly position on the carrier. The spring element loads the detent lever into the final assembly position. Each leg extends to an opposite free leg end at a specified angle. The second positioning body has a stop for the free leg end of the first leg for pivoting the detent lever from the initial position into the final assembly position and a detent contour for locking with the free leg end of the second leg in the final assembly position of the detent lever. An airbag device for a driver's seat is provided with a variant steering wheel, and an airbag module. The variant steering wheel has a module mounting surface and a cover member. When the cover member receives the expansion pressure of a cushion, a cover door opens. The airbag module includes a cloth member that is put on the cushion. A front end side of the cloth member is connected to an inflator, and a rear end is a free end. The airbag module is in a state in which the cushion is in a stored state, the cloth member is put over the cover member side of the cushion, and the cloth member is held between the cover member and the cushion in the stored state.

An emblem assembly arranged in an airbag cover coupled with a vehicle structure such as a steering wheel in a motor vehicle includes an electronic unit, a decorative unit, and a control device. The electronic unit is held by the airbag cover and has at least one light source. The decorative unit is arranged in the airbag cover and attached to the electronic unit such that the decorative unit covers at least a part of the electronic unit. The control device is electrically connected to the electronic unit and is adapted to control illumination of the decorative unit. Further, at least one light source of the electronic unit is adjusted by the control device arranged in the vehicle structure.

A steering wheel airbag device includes an airbag and an inflator. The airbag includes: a bag body; and a rectifying member rectifies expansion gas discharged from the inflator. The rectifying member is provided with three gas outlet ports so that the expansion gas can flow out substantially along a ring surface of the ring portion and to left, right, and rear three sides. The rectifying member is configured by partially joining outer peripheral edges of a vehicle body side panel and a driver side panel. The vehicle body side panel is configured to have three joining portions which are joined to corresponding outer peripheral edges of the driver side panel and three non-joining regions between the joining portions arranged on an outer peripheral edge side of the flat surface portion. The gas outlet port is configured by a portion of the non-joining region between the joining portions.

The invention relates to a device for removably mounting an airbag module on a steering wheel having a retaining portion of a resilient ring for forming elements for holding hooks on the other of the airbag module or the steering wheel in zones of interaction with the hooks, a mounting portion of the resilient ring forming a mounting rotation axis to ensure the rotation of the resilient ring, the resilient ring further including a locking portion, wherein the other of the airbag module or the steering wheel includes a first stop which is arranged to block the movement of the locking portion of the resilient ring in a first direction perpendicular to the mounting rotation axis (Y).

Proposed is an apparatus for coupling an airbag module to a steering wheel. A coupling open area extends completely through a steering wheel in a forward-backward direction. A hook extends from a rear portion of an airbag module to behind the steering wheel, and includes a bent portion provided on a distal end to be bent in a direction intersecting a longitudinal direction of the hook. A fixing clip is disposed on a rear portion of the steering wheel and fixed to the steering wheel, with an end of the fixing clip being caught by and coupled to the bent portion of the hook to stop movement of the hook forward of the steering wheel. A catching protrusion protrudes from the rear portion of the steering wheel to catch the end of the fixing clip and stop movement of the fixing clip when the hook is decoupled.

A damper unit for use in a vibration-reducing assembly for a steering wheel is disclosed. An elastomeric damper element is molded on an inner sleeve and includes a plurality of elastomeric ribs forming a radially outer engagement surface, and a plurality of elastomeric support studs, which are mutually spaced in a circumferential direction are flexible in all directions transverse to said axis. Methods for making a damper unit and a damper assembly are also disclosed.
