An air-bag apparatus includes: a frame member that is tiltable along a seat back of a vehicle seat; and a bag body that is embedded in the frame member, that is inflated and expanded to a front of an occupant seated on the vehicle seat at a time of an impact input, and that prevents a body of the occupant from being separated from the seat back.

A restraint system includes a seatback and an airbag. The airbag includes two lateral portions and a central chamber connecting the lateral portions. When the airbag is inflated, each lateral portion includes a plurality of lateral chambers arranged consecutively from the seatback to the central chamber, and the lateral portions and central chamber define a gap positioned directly above and directly in front of space for a head of a 50th-percentile dummy sitting against the seatback.

A system includes a bulkhead, a seat in a rearward-facing position facing away from the bulkhead, and a plurality of airbags supported by the seat. Each airbag is inflatable in a direction away from the bulkhead to an inflated position.

A vehicle seat includes a seatback, a headrest and an airbag unit. The seatback has a front side and a rear side. The headrest is connected to the seatback by at least one post and is adjustable relative to the seatback in a vertical direction. The airbag unit is carried by the seatback and includes an airbag and an inflator. The airbag is rearwardly deployable from the rear side of the seatback from a stored position proximate an upper end of the seatback. The at least one post is oriented relative to the airbag unit in a position selected from a group consisting of a first position in which the at least one post includes a lower end vertically above the airbag unit with a line along an elongated axis of the at least one post intersecting the airbag unit and a second position on which the at least one post is laterally spaced from the airbag unit.

A deployable headrest airbag includes an airbag chamber configured to be coupled to a headrest of a vehicle seat. The airbag chamber has a stowed position and a deployed position. In stowed position, the airbag chamber is disposed inside the headrest. In the deployed position, the deployable headrest airbag is disposed outside of the headrest to protect a head and a neck of a vehicle occupant.

A vehicle occupant protection device includes a vehicle seat, a steering wheel, a steering moving mechanism, and a control unit. The vehicle seat includes a seat back and a headrest, the vehicle seat being con gored to turn between a position where the vehicle seat is directed toward a vehicle front side and a position where the vehicle seat is directed toward a vehicle rear side. The steering wheel is provided ahead of the vehicle seat in a vehicle front-rear direction. The steering moving mechanism is configured to change a position of the steering wheel. The control unit is configured to move the steering wheel to a support position where the seat back and the headrest are supported by the steering wheel from the vehicle front side, by the steering moving mechanism, when the vehicle seat is directed toward the vehicle rear side.

A vehicle seating assembly is provided herein. The vehicle includes a seat-base. A seatback is coupled to the seat-base. An airbag assembly is coupled to the seatback and configured to deploy therefrom. A tether is coupled to the airbag assembly and at least one of the seatback and the seat-base. The tether is configured to bias the airbag assembly seating-assembly-downward when the airbag assembly is in a deployed position.

A vehicle seat assembly includes a seatback including a left lateral panel and a right lateral panel opposite the left lateral panel, a left airbag inflatable from the left lateral panel to an inflated position, a right airbag inflatable from the right lateral panel to an inflated position, and a tether extending from the left lateral panel to the right lateral panel. The tether is connected to the airbags.

An air bag device for a vehicle seat has a first air bag portion to be attached to at or close to a first lateral side of a backrest and a second air bag portion to be attached to a second lateral side of a backrest. The first air bag portion and second air bag portion are connected with each other by a third air bag portion designed to be located along a part of the upper portion of a backrest. The air bag device is designed to, when mounted to a vehicle seat, limit the lateral movement of the torso of an occupant and protect an occupant. The third portion will contribute with an increased stability of the air bag device when deployed. The air bag device may be adapted to protect the head of an occupant from injuries.

A loudspeaker arrangement in a motor vehicle includes a collision sensor transmitting a collision signal in response to detecting that the motor vehicle has been in a collision. An audio system transmits an audio signal. A loudspeaker includes an air bag connected thereto. The loudspeaker is coupled to the audio system and produces audible sounds based on the audio signal. The air bag is coupled to the collision sensor and is activated in response to the collision sensor transmitting the collision signal.
