Backrest for a vehicle seat and vehicle seat with the backrest
A backrest for a vehicle seat having a backrest side rail for supporting a side of a body of an occupant sitting on the vehicle seat, having an airbag and having a gas generator for protecting the occupant, having a hard cover housing for arrangement on the backrest side rail, wherein the hard cover housing in a lateral plan view is designed as a half shell arranged along a longitudinal extent of the backrest side rail with two longitudinal edges spaced from one another, wherein the airbag and the gas generator can be pushed in and/or are pushed in between the two longitudinal edges.
VEHICLE SEAT SIDE AIR BAG ASSEMBLY
A seat assembly includes a base. The seat assembly includes an air bag supported by the base. The seat assembly includes a cover adjacent the base. The seat assembly includes a first plurality of ribs extending transversely from the cover and toward the base. The seat assembly includes a second plurality of ribs extending transversely from the base and toward the cover.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes a seat back including a movable portion that supports an occupant and moves in a vehicle width direction with respect to a main body frame due to a load in a seat width direction, a hard resin material that is provided at a left and right pair of side portions of the seat back and is capable of crushing deformation at a time of a vehicle side impact, and a seat cover that covers a surface of the hard resin material.
Vehicle seat with restraint system
An assembly includes a seat bottom, a rear bladder, a front bladder, and a check valve. The seat bottom includes a rear seat cushion and a front seat cushion in a seat-forward direction from the rear seat cushion. At least one of the rear seat cushion or the front seat cushion is vertically movable relative to the other one of the rear seat cushion or the front seat cushion. The rear bladder supports the rear seat cushion. The front bladder supports the front seat cushion. The check valve fluidly connects the front bladder and the rear bladder. The check valve is oriented to permit fluid to pass from the rear bladder to the front bladder and block fluid from passing from the front bladder to the rear bladder.
Attachment member, and seat equipped with airbag module
An attachment member allowing a connected state between the attachment member and a guide member to be more easily checked is provided. The attachment member for attaching a stay cloth, which guides a deployment direction of an airbag module, to a seat back frame has a holding portion which includes a holding space for housing an attachment portion of the stay cloth. The holding portion is inserted into an attachment hole to be fitted into the attachment hole that is formed in the seat back frame. A through-hole which allows the attachment portion of the stay cloth in the holding space to be exposed in a penetrating direction of the attachment hole is formed in the holding portion.
Vehicle seat having a side airbag device
A vehicle seat provided with a side airbag device including: a side airbag that is stored within a side portion of a seat back, and that receives gas supplied from an inflator so as to inflate and deploy at a side of a seated vehicle occupant; seat back upholstery that forms upholstery for the seat back, and in which a burst line portion, which is a seam portion, ruptures when it receives inflation pressure from the side airbag, and in which a three-way junction is formed in a seam portion as a result of a seam portion that branches off from the burst line portion being provided; and reinforcement fabric that is joined to both a portion of the burst line portion that bridges an intersection point of the three-way junction and a seat back frame, and that stretches when it receives inflation pressure from the side airbag.
VEHICLE AIRBAG SYSTEM
A seat includes a seatback having an exterior panel. The seat includes a first member and a second member each being inflatable to an inflated position and defining an inflation chamber, the inflation chambers spaced from each other. The exterior panel extends between and is secured to the first member and the second member external to the inflation chambers in the inflated position.
Seat Shell Formed by Additive Manufacturing
A seat shell for use in a vehicle includes a support wall including a first surface and a second surface. The first surface is configured to support an occupant and the second surface is positioned opposite the first surface wherein the first surface and the second surface are separated by a thickness of the support wall. The seat shell further includes a conduit integrally formed in the support wall and positioned between the first and the second surface. The conduit is configured to transfer at least one of fluid, electricity and force from a first location in the support wall to a second location in the support wall.
Side airbag device
A side airbag device includes a folded-up airbag and a limitation member disposed around the airbag for constraining the airbag from protruding forward at airbag deployment. The limitation member is formed of a flexible sheet member into a band shape, and is joined to the folded-up airbag by the opposite end regions. The limitation member includes a loose region which is arranged around the folded-up airbag in such a manner as to be remote from the folded-up airbag. The loose region is disposed on a side of the folded-up airbag towards which the airbag protrudes. The loose region includes a tearable region in the region in a deployment direction of the airbag.
