Airbag and airbag device
An airbag for a front passenger seat is configured to be inflated and expanded between the front passenger seat and an instrument panel. The airbag includes a main bag, a left sub-bag and a right sub-bag. The left sub-bag and the right sub-bag are respectively connected to a left side portion and a right side portion of the main bag. The left sub-bag and the right sub-bag are connected to each other on at least one of an upper portion, a lower portion and a front portion of the airbag.
OPEN-FRAME VEHICLE HAVING A TWO-PIECE TRIM MEMBER
A vehicle includes a frame. The vehicle is an open-frame vehicle. The frame includes an A-pillar, a B-pillar, and a roof siderail. The roof siderail extends between the A-pillar and the B-pillar. An A-pillar trim member is coupled to the A-pillar and includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion defines an aperture that receives the second portion. A B-pillar trim member is coupled to the B-pillar. A roof siderail trim member is coupled to the roof siderail and extends between the A-pillar trim member and the B-pillar trim member. An inflatable member is positioned between the frame and at least two of the A-pillar trim member, the B-pillar trim member, and the roof siderail trim member when the inflatable member is in a deflated state. An inflated state of the inflatable member separates the second portion of the A-pillar trim member from the aperture of the A-pillar trim member.

Vehicle seat
To reduce an amount of rear protrusion of a vehicle seat equipped with an airbag module configured to deploy rearward, in a vehicle seat (1) provided with a seat cushion (3) and a seat back (4), the seat back includes: a seat back frame (7) including a pair of left and right side frames (11) extending in a vertical direction and an upper frame (12) connecting upper ends of the side frames to each other; an airbag module (43) supported by an upper half of the seat back frame via a bracket (31); and a skin member (9) covering the seat back frame, the bracket, and the airbag module from a rear side thereof, wherein a part of the skin member corresponding to the airbag module is provided with a frangible portion (80) configured to open upon inflation of an airbag (45).
Airbag system for a vehicle and method for manufacturing the airbag system
A safety device for a vehicle adapted to be arranged facing an airbag, the safety device including: a channel suitable for guiding the airbag, the channel delimiting a central opening for deployment of the airbag, a panel at least partially covering the central opening when the airbag is in an uninflated state, and a net having a first plane-portion being entrapped in the channel and a second plane-portion being entrapped in the panel. The net further includes a third portion extending between the first plane-portion and the second plane-portion, at least a part of the third-portion being entrapped in a receiving portion of the channel, wherein the receiving portion includes at least a portion of reduced thickness.

AIRBAG COVER STRUCTURE FOR STEERING WHEEL
An airbag cover structure for a steering wheel. The airbag cover structure with a lighting emblem includes: a mounting plate with an airbag cushion; an inner cover including an inner locking portion, a storage portion, and an inner hinge portion; an outer cover including an outer locking portion, an indicating portion, and an outer hinge portion; and an absorption area provided on the inner hinge portion of the inner cover, and configured to concentrate and absorb stress generated by a force that unfolds a bent portion of the outer hinge portion during deployment of the airbag cushion.
Clip
An airbag device attached to a vehicle body frame member and covered by a garnish is configured such that when a bag body is deployed, the airbag device pushes out the garnish to create a gap between the garnish and the vehicle body frame member to allow the bag body to be inflated out of the gap. The clip for securing the garnish to the vehicle body frame member includes a first member configured to be fixed to the vehicle body frame member, a second member configured to be fixed to the garnish, and a connecting member for keeping the first member and the second member connected when the airbag is deployed. The connecting member is tiltable with respect to the first member and the second member so that the movable range of the clip can be maximized without using flexible material for the connecting member.
