VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat including: an outside cover; an inside cover; a side airbag module; a side frame; an outside reinforcement cloth that covers a seat width direction outer side of the side airbag module; and an inside reinforcement cloth that is disposed between the side frame and the side airbag module, that covers a seat width direction inner side of the side airbag module, that includes one seat front-rear direction end portion separated into seat upper and lower sides and fixed to the side frame in a manner that avoids the fixing portion, that includes another seat front-rear direction end portion joined to the inside cover at the join portion, and that is configured to transmit tension to the join portion during inflation and deployment of the side airbag.
AIRBAG MODULE FOR PROTECTING THE HEAD
A head protection airbag module comprising a tubular inflator, a holder for the inflator and an airbag which is in fluid communication with the inflator and is folded to form a package, characterized by a guide element for the airbag which is arranged on the holder and includes a guide tongue extending into the airbag package.
SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE AND VEHICLE SEAT PROVIDED WITH SAME
[Problem]
To provide: a side airbag device capable of quickly and properly restraining a passenger in the initial stage of deploying an airbag; and a vehicle seat provided with the side airbag device.
[Resolution Means]
A side airbag device is provided with: an airbag disposed inside a side supporting part of a seat, that restrains an occupant by expanding and deploying in the event of a vehicle collision; and an inflator that supplies an expansion gas to the airbag. Furthermore, the airbag is folded and stored in the side supporting part in an extended condition such that the vertical direction is the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, a lower part of the airbag in the stored condition is folded a plurality of times in the longitudinal direction to form a lower compressed part.
Airbag device for a passenger seat
An airbag body includes, in a protection region disposed in the rear portion, a front-collision arresting plane, an oblique-collision arresting plane, and an arresting recess that is recessed forward between the front-collision arresting plane and oblique-collision arresting plane. The airbag body further internally includes a tether that pulls a flat surfaced portion of the passenger protection region and forms the arresting recess out of the flat surfaced portion at airbag deployment. The tether includes a front-rear connecting region that connects a leading end of the arresting recess to the center of a front end portion of the airbag body, and a sideways connecting region that connects the leading end of the arresting recess to a side wall of the airbag body near the oblique-collision arresting plane. The joint of the sideways connecting region to the side wall is disposed farther forward than the leading end of the arresting recess.
Support for roof-mounted airbag
A module for a vehicle including a roof and a cabin includes a housing defining a chamber and having an opening in fluid communication with the chamber. The housing is configured for placement in the roof. An airbag is provided in the chamber and is inflatable to a deployed condition extending through the opening into the cabin. A door pivotably connected to the housing closes the opening. The door is pivotable away from the roof in response to deployment of the airbag to provide a reaction surface for the deploying airbag. The door has a first length while closing the opening and a second length greater than the first length when pivoted away from the roof.
Airbag assembly
An assembly includes a front console. The assembly includes a body having a reaction surface and supported by the front console. The assembly includes an actuator connected to the body, the body movable by the actuator to a deployed position. The assembly includes an airbag supported by the front console and inflatable to an inflated position that abuts the reaction surface. The assembly includes an inflator connected to the airbag.
LATERAL OCCUPANT ENGAGEMENT CUSHIONS
Lateral airbag cushions for preventing or inhibiting inboard occupant excursion. Some embodiments may comprise an inflatable cushion configured to deploy adjacent to a vehicle seat laterally of a vehicle occupant and a tether coupled with the inflatable cushion. The tether may be configured to be coupled to the vehicle seat at opposite ends and may be configured to, upon deployment, form the inflatable cushion into a pocket or other lateral engagement structure adjacent to the vehicle occupant to engage a shoulder and/or arm region of the vehicle occupant to prevent or at least inhibit inboard/lateral excursion during an impact event.
AIRBAG DEVICE
[Problem] To provide an airbag device capable of controlling flow of gas discharged from an inflator.
[Resolution Means] The airbag device is an airbag device that expands and deploys in a vehicle passenger compartment of a vehicle and restrains a passenger sitting in a first seat from a side, including: a cushion 41 provided with a horizontal portion 41d that deploys in a horizontal direction of the vehicle in an expanded and deployed state and a protruding portion 41e that deploys in an upward direction of the vehicle from a center portion of the horizontal portion 41d; a diffuser that is secured inside the cushion 41, that is open in the horizontal direction of the vehicle, closed in a downward direction of the vehicle, and partially or entirely closed in a direction toward the protruding portion; and an inflator 42 that is secured to the first seat, provided inside the diffuser, and that discharges gas for expansion and deployment.
COVER DEVICE OF AIRBAG
A cover device of an airbag including a cover unit formed with first tear lines, and able to be torn along the first tear lines; and a housing unit formed to extend in a direction from a rim of the cover unit, and formed with second tear lines. Portions of the housing unit are torn along the second tear lines and rotate by the cover unit, which is torn and rotates.
Knee airbag assemblies
An inflatable knee airbag having a flexible housing is disclosed. An inflatable knee airbag may provide protection for the lower anatomy of an occupant in a vehicle collision event. The disclosed inflatable knee airbag may include components, such as the inflatable airbag cushion, inflator, etc., within a flexible housing supported by a rigid or semi-rigid mounting plate. The flexible housing may conform to the shape of enclosed components, and may support and protect the enclosed components. The flexible housing may be lighter and more cost-effective than conventional housing methods.
