OCCUPANT RESTRAINING DEVICE
A vehicle occupant restraining device, comprising: a pair of air bags; an inner bag housed in at least one of the pair of air bags, is in communication with the at least one of the air bags, and is inflated and deployed inside the at least one of the air bags, on the sides of the body of a vehicle occu-pant; and a pair of pieces of tension cloth housed so as to extend along the respective sides of a housed pair of air bags, which are located on the opposite sides of the vehicle occupant, and then through the inside of the seat back of a seat into a seat cushion, wherein the inner bag completes inflation and deployment before the at least one of the air bags does, and the pair of pieces of tension cloth is deployed on the sides of the seat.
Controlled flow turbine blades
The present application provides a turbine blade. The turbine blade includes a root section with a first curved section, a tip section with a second curved section, and number of mean sections positioned between the root section and the tip section. The mean sections each include a substantially prismatic shape.
REAR SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE
Provided is a rear side airbag device that can be mounted with ease. A rear side airbag device is located between a vehicle body and a rear seat, and includes an airbag, an inflator configured to supply gas into the airbag, and a mounting bracket to which the inflator is fixed. The mounting bracket includes an inflator mount portion to which the inflator is fixed, and a first anchor portion and a second anchor portion that are to be fixed to other members, whereas the first anchor portion and the second anchor portion are located on a laterally inner side with respect to the inflator mount portion.
Airbg module for reduction of an abrupt sideward and also forward movement of an occupant
An airbag module reduces abrupt sideward and forward movement of an occupant in the case of an impact. The airbag module has an airbag which can be inflated by a gas generator in the case of the onset of an accident situation. The airbag includes a main restraining chamber and an additional restraining chamber which are connected to one another by a passage opening. The main restraining chamber, in an inflated state, restrains sideward movement of an occupant. The additional restraining chamber, in the inflated state, unfurls, starting from the main restraining chamber, at least with a section in front of the occupant and to restrain at least a forward movement of the occupant. The additional restraining chamber and the main restraining chamber are arranged to overlap one another at least partially in the sense that they are configured at least partially behind one another in side view.
ASIL-classification by cooperative positioning
An apparatus comprising a transceiver, an antenna and a processor. The transceiver may be configured to send/receive data messages to/from a plurality of vehicles. The antenna may be configured to receive signals from GNSS satellites. The processor may be configured to (i) determine a first region based on relative coordinates calculated using the data messages, (ii) determine a second region calculated using the signals received from the GNSS satellites, (iii) determine whether a pre-determined amount of the first region to the second region overlap and (iv) increase a confidence level of a positional accuracy of the plurality of vehicles if the pre-determined amount of the first region and the second region overlap. One of the vehicles implements one or more automatic responses based on the confidence level of the positional accuracy.
Airbag arrangement
Airbag configurations and systems are provided to protect a vehicle occupant in an oblique crash event. In one embodiment an airbag includes first and second side panels and a main panel coupled to the first side panel along a first seam and coupled to the second side panel along a second seam. The main panel can include a curved configuration to match expansion of the second side panel. The airbag configuration is provided for protection for an oblique crash event to absorb energy from occupant movement in the oblique direction and to retain and reduce head rotation of an occupant. In one embodiment, a method for controlling an airbag system is provided that includes detecting a crash event and activation of an airbag and a side curtain airbag (SCAB). The SCAB may be activated to contact the airbag and to control volume/loading of the airbag.
Airbag, airbag module, vehicle as well as method of manufacturing an airbag
An airbag comprises a front panel (22), a rear panel (24) and an additional panel (26), the front panel (22) and the rear panel (24) being directly connected to each other in a first circumferential portion (28) and the front panel (22) being connected to the additional panel (26) and the additional panel (26) being connected to the rear panel (24) in a second circumferential portion (30). Further, an airbag module (16), a vehicle (10) and a method of manufacturing the airbag (18) are shown.
Trim attachment system
A trim attachment system for a vehicle is provided herein. The trim attachment system includes first and second vehicle surfaces. A first fastener may be coupled to the first vehicle surface and may be configured for releasable engagement with a second fastener that is coupled to the second vehicle surface. Each of the first and second fasteners may include a substrate and a plurality of engaging stems protruding outward from the substrate. The plurality of engaging stems may be arranged into rows and columns on the substrate. The first fastener may be configured to be coupled to the second fastener, such that the plurality of engaging stems of the first fastener engage the plurality of engaging stems of the second fastener and the rows of the first fastener are generally perpendicular to the rows of the second fastener.
VEHICULAR AIRBAG DEVICE
The present invention relates to a vehicular airbag device provided with a configuration comprising: an airbag cushion which is formed in a shawl shape so as to surround and restrict the entire upper body around both shoulders of an occupant as well as the abdominal and pelvic regions in the event of a vehicle collision, and deployed toward both side surfaces of the occupant; and a limiting means which is installed in first and second cushions of the airbag cushion deployed at both sides of the occupant, and provides a supporting force and limits the deployment shape of the first and second cushions at the time of deployment of the first and second cushions. According to the present invention, both side surfaces and the front surface of the occupant are efficiently restricted by improving the lateral strength of the airbag cushion to safely protect the occupant in the event of a vehicle collision.
OCCUPANT RESTRAINT SYSTEM
A restraint system is provided for helping to protect an occupant in a seat of a vehicle and includes an airbag having a main portion inflatable from a stored condition to a deployed condition in front of the occupant. Arms extend from the main portion and are spaced apart from one another to form an uninflated volume for receiving the occupant in response to a vehicle collision. The arms are configured to inflate to opposite sides of the occupant prior to occupant penetration into the airbag.
