METHOD OF FOLDING AN AIRBAG
In a method of folding a curtain-type side airbag to form an elongate airbag package which defines a longitudinal direction, in one folding step at least portions of the side airbag are rolled around a first winding axis. In another folding step, at least portions of the side airbag are rolled around a second winding axis which is at an angle between 0° and 180° with the first winding axis.
CURTAIN AIRBAG
A curtain airbag capable of improving deployability of an airbag cushion without including a ramp component. The curtain airbag includes a main cushion, provided at an upper side of a pillar of a vehicle along a forward-and-rearward direction of the vehicle and configured to be deployed with inflation thereof, and a guide cushion, connected to a front area of an upper end portion of the main cushion and configured to extend toward a rear of the vehicle, the guide cushion pushing the main cushion toward an inside of the vehicle while being inflated together with the main cushion.

CURTAIN AIRBAG APPARATUS
A curtain airbag apparatus which can smoothly expand an airbag cushion even with a low gas ejection pressure of an inflator. A curtain airbag apparatus according to an embodiment includes: an outer cushion provided on an upper side of a pillar constituting a vehicle along a forward and backward direction of the vehicle to be expandable; a plurality of inner cushions which are fixed to an inner side of the outer cushion along the forward and backward direction of the vehicle to be spaced apart from each other and are independently expandable; and inflators disposed in the plurality of inner cushions, respectively, so as to eject gas into the inner cushions so that the inner cushions are expanded by generation of the gas.

AIRBAG COVER
A vehicle comprising: an airbag device comprising a housing and an airbag, the airbag having a packed configuration and an expanded configuration, the airbag expanding through the aperture in the housing when moving from the packed configuration to the expanded configuration; a composite material panel positioned to cover the airbag device, the panel comprising a break line running over the panel, the break line being proximal to the aperture so that when the airbag moves to the expanded configuration the airbag forces the panel to tear along the break line; and a first protection flap, the first protection flap having an initial configuration where the first protection flap is located adjacent the airbag in the packed configuration and a deployed configuration where the first protection flap covers at least one edge of the panel that runs along one side of the break line when the panel has torn due to the airbag moving to the expanded configuration.
DEVICE FOR COUPLING CURTAIN AIRBAG TO VEHICLE BODY
A device for coupling a curtain airbag to a vehicle body, the device including a bracket made of a metallic material and having an upper end installed on a vehicle body and disposed adjacent to a roof of a vehicle, and a lower end extending downward and having a through-hole, and a connection tab having a lower end coupled to a curtain airbag, having a main body extending upward, and having an upper end extending upward, penetrating the through-hole of the bracket, and coupled to the main body.

Vehicle side body structure
A side body structure of a vehicle can include: a hinge pillar; a front pillar that is coupled to an upper end portion of this hinge pillar via a bent section, extends upward to the rear, and is coupled to a front end portion of a roof side rail via a connected section; and an apron rein that extends forward from a position below the bent section in the hinge pillar, where the bent section can include an energy absorption section that is subjected to out-of-plane deformation in a longitudinal orthogonal direction of the front pillar and thereby can absorb collision energy when the collision energy, which can be directed rearward, is applied to the apron rein. The energy absorption section can be configured to include an outer bead section and an inner bead section respectively provided in an outer member and a lower inner member.
