A seat airbag device for a vehicle is proposed. The seat airbag device for a vehicle includes: a main chamber located in a vehicle seat at a side portion of an occupant and configured to be deployed toward a front portion of the vehicle when gas is injected thereinto; a sub-chamber connected to a front end of the main chamber and configured to be deployed in a direction intersecting a deployment direction of the main chamber when the gas is injected thereinto; and an expansion portion expanded from the front end of the main chamber and connected to an upper portion or a lower portion of the sub-chamber.

In an assembly (20) of an elongate inflator (10) which has an outer housing (14) with outflow openings (18) spread along the circumference (U) and defining an outflow area (16) and an outflow direction, and of a clamp-type diffusor (22) enclosing the outflow area (16), the diffusor (22) includes a central receiving opening (24) into which the outer housing (14) protrudes so that the diffusor (22) circumferentially encloses an axial portion of the outer housing (14) which comprises the outflow area (16). At the inner side of the diffusor (22) delimiting the receiving opening (24) at least one bearing surface (34) and at least one gas guiding surface (30) are provided, wherein the bearing surface (34) bears directly against the outer housing (14) of the inflator (10) and the gas guiding surface (30) is radially spaced apart from the outer housing (14) while forming at least one collecting chamber (30) into which gas flowing out of the outflow area (16) is flowing. The collecting chamber (32) opens into at least one outlet opening (36) through which gas exits the diffusor (22) in an outlet direction (RD) transversely to the outflow direction out of the inflator (10).

A disc-shaped pyrotechnic gas generator includes a housing with a plurality of diffusion holes. A pyrotechnic substance is arranged in the housing. A filter is arranged in the housing. A containment member is arranged in the housing between the pyrotechnic substance and the filter. A drainage member is arranged in the housing between the pyrotechnic substance and the containment member. The filter is to provide support to a supported portion of the containment member at a start of operation of the gas generator.

An airbag apparatus of a vehicle may include an airbag cushion mounted in a rim which is necessarily provided even if the shape of a steering wheel is diversified, so that the airbag cushion is applied to steering wheels having various designs, whereby a driver is protected.

A gas generator including a diffuser for diffusing inflation gases generated by an inflator of the gas generator. The gas generator includes at least a first mounting stud. The diffuser has a cylindrical sidewall axially extending between first and second axial ends and circumferentially extending between first and second axially extending sides. A gap is defined between the first and second axially extending sides. The cylindrical sidewall includes a plurality of holes radially extend therethrough and includes a slot having a closed end and an open end. The diffuser circumferentially surrounds a portion of the cylindrical housing of the inflator with the first mounting stud disposed in the slot.

In a shielding state, a partition extends from an upper portion to a lower portion of a cabin in such a manner as to partition a space between a pair of opposing vehicle seats. In the case where the partition is in the shielding state during a collision of a vehicle, the partition is inflated in a vehicle longitudinal direction by gas supplied from an inflator that is actuated when a collision detection sensor detects the collision of the vehicle. That is, since the partition is inflated in the space between the pair of the vehicle seats without interfering with the vehicle seats, the partition can reliably restrain an occupant who receives a collision load and is thereby displaced in the vehicle longitudinal direction from the vehicle seat. In this way, it is possible to easily secure a private space in the cabin and to improve occupant restraint performance.

A vehicle curtain airbag apparatus includes an inflator and an airbag. The airbag includes an airbag body, an inner tube, and a pocket portion. The inner tube includes a tube body and an insertion portion. The pocket portion is provided in a front end portion of the tube body in an insertion direction of the inner tube. A front end portion of the pocket portion in the insertion direction is joined to the tube body at a first joint portion, which extends in an intersecting direction. The intersecting direction intersects the insertion direction. At least one of the opposite end portions of the pocket portion in the intersecting direction is joined to the tube body at a second joint portion that extends in the insertion direction.

A seat airbag device for a vehicle is proposed. The invention relates, among other things, to a gas generator for generating a driving gas for a vehicle safety device, wherein the gas generator comprises: an ignition device; fuel which, after ignition using the ignition device, generates the driving gas; an at least partially tubular carrier element, in the tube interior of which a combustion chamber for the fuel is located; an injection-moulded body which fixes the ignition device in the connection hole and is located with an inner portion inside the carrier element and with an outer portion outside the carrier element; a feed pipe which is connected to a pipe end of the carrier element and which conveys the driving gas out of the combustion chamber; and a lid sealing the combustion chamber.

An airbag assembly includes a housing and a side airbag inflatable to an inflated position. The side airbag in the inflated position has an upper lobe and a lower lobe supporting the upper lobe on the housing. The side airbag includes an internal panel between the upper lobe and the lower lobe. A tether has a first end anchored to the housing and a second end anchored to the upper lobe.
