Steering column assembly
A steering column assembly comprises a shroud having an upper shroud part and a lower shroud part movable telescopically relative to one another, and a steering shaft. The upper shroud part carries an energy absorbing device which in normal use moves together with the upper shroud part. A blocking device is fixed to the lower shroud part or to a part of the vehicle that is fixed relative to the lower shroud part; and a connecting rod is connected at a first end to the blocking device and at a second end to a spring which is in turn connected to the lower shroud part or to the fixed part of the vehicle. An initiator module engages with a part of the connecting rod or spring when the blocking mechanism is in the unlocked position thereby to isolate the blocking device from the force of the spring.
Motor-adjustable steering column for a motor vehicle
A motor-adjustable steering column for a motor vehicle, includes a support unit, which can be mounted on a vehicle body, and by which an actuator unit is held, in which a steering spindle is rotatably mounted about a longitudinal axis. An adjusting drive is connected to the support unit and to the actuator unit, and by which the actuator unit can be adjusted relative to the support unit. The adjusting drive includes a drive unit and a threaded spindle engaging in a spindle nut with a threaded spindle axis, wherein the threaded spindle can be driven in rotation or in translation by the drive unit. The drive unit is connected to a component of the steering column such that it is movable in a transverse direction transversely to the threaded spindle axis.

Steering input system for a vehicle
A steering input system for a vehicle, the system including: a steering input device configured to provide a steering action input for the vehicle, and an actuator assembly including a set of actuators configured to translate the steering input device from a drive position to a retracted position by a combined actuation action.

Steering Device
Please substitute the new Abstract submitted herewith for the original Abstract: Provided is a steering device in which a pair of tension springs is arranged on both outer sides in the width direction of a pair of support plate portions of a support bracket. The pair of tension springs applies a force directed diagonally upward toward the front to a base portion of an adjustment lever and a pressing plate arranged at both end portions of an adjustment rod, and elastically presses the front side surface of an engaging convex portion of a driven-side cam against a front side edge of a long hole in the up-down direction.

SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RAKE ADJUSTMENT OF A STEERING COLUMN
A system for adjusting a rake of a steering column includes a rake actuator. The system also includes a jacket assembly. The system further includes a first bracket operatively coupled to the jacket assembly, the first bracket defining a first slot. The system yet further includes a second bracket defining a second slot, the second bracket fixed in a stationary position relative to the first bracket, the first and second slots oriented at different angles, but partially aligned. The system also includes a cam follower operatively coupled to the rake actuator, the cam follower having an arm extending through the first slot and the second slot, wherein translation of the cam follower adjusts the angular position of the first bracket and the jacket assembly.
STEERING COLUMN DEVICE
A steering column device includes a friction plate having a long hole though which an adjusting rod is inserted and a mounting hole, and sandwiched at least one of a portion between one of inner-side surfaces of a pair of support plate portions and an outer-side surface of a column-side bracket of a steering column, and a portion between one of outer-side surfaces of the pair of support plate portions and one of inner-side surfaces of a pair of pressing portions. The steering column device includes a hook portion having a cantilever beam structure that is inserted through the mounting hole in the width direction, and the hook portion has a restricting projection for restricting movement in the width direction of the friction plate.
