Vertical position adjustment device for steering wheel
In a clamped state where the interval between both the pressing parts is reduced and both the clamped plate parts are clamped by both the support plate parts, vertical distances from an outer peripheral surface of the adjustment rod to an upper surface and a lower surface of an inner surface of one through-hole of both the through-holes are different, vertical distances from the outer peripheral surface of the adjustment rod to an upper surface and a lower surface of an inner surface of the other through-hole of both the through-holes are different, and sides, where the vertical distance from the outer peripheral surface of the adjustment rod to the inner surface is smaller, are on opposite sides with respect to the vertical direction in one through-hole and the other through-hole.

Telescoping steering column
A telescoping steering column is constructed to be mounted to a vehicle structure. The telescoping steering column includes a plurality of jackets in telescopic relation to one another along a telescopic axis, an electric motor, at least one leadscrew, first and second thread sets, and first and second nuts. The plurality of jackets include a first jacket and a second jacket. The electric motor is rigidly fixed to one of the plurality of jackets. Then at least one leadscrew is rotationally driven by the electric motor. The first and second thread sets are carried by the at least one leadscrew. The first and second nuts are threaded upon the respective first and second thread sets, and attached to the respective first and second jackets.

Linkage for steering wheel electric motor tilt assembly
A steering column assembly (10) including a mounting structure (20); a column housing (50) having a wall opening (54) and being fixed in position for upward and downward pivotal motion; a tilt screw (72) having a threaded shank and a gear; a tilt nut (80) and optionally a bushing surrounding the tilt nut positioned at least partially within and contacting a surface defining wall opening (54) and having a threaded bore adapted to receive the tilt screw, the contact between the tilt nut and the wall opening such that the load transmitted from the wall opening to the tilt nut is substantially on axis with the threaded bore; a motor (96) for raising and lowering the column housing by rotating the gear portion and causing the tilt nut to advance toward or away from the gear, causing the column housing to raise or lower, and wherein the longitudinal axis of the threaded shank can pivot fore or aft as the column housing is raised or lowered.

A STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY
A steering column assembly comprises a shroud having an upper shroud part and a lower shroud part movable telescopically relative to one another, and a steering shaft. The upper shroud part carries an energy absorbing device which in normal use moves together with the upper shroud part. A blocking device is fixed to the lower shroud part or to a part of the vehicle that is fixed relative to the lower shroud part; and a connecting rod is connected at a first end to the blocking device and at a second end to a spring which is in turn connected to the lower shroud part or to the fixed part of the vehicle. An initiator module engages with a part of the connecting rod or spring when the blocking mechanism is in the unlocked position thereby to isolate the blocking device from the force of the spring.
ADJUSTABLE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY
A steering column assembly includes a jacket assembly, a locking assembly, and an adjustment lever. The jacket assembly extends along a steering column axis and is connected to a support bracket. The locking assembly is movable between a locked position that inhibits movement of the jacket assembly relative to the steering column axis and an unlocked position that facilitates movement of the jacket assembly relative to the steering column axis. The adjustment lever is arranged to pivot about a lever axis to move the locking assembly between the locked position and the unlocked position.

STEERING INPUT SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE
A steering input system for a vehicle, the system including: a steering input device configured to provide a steering action input for the vehicle, and an actuator assembly including a set of actuators configured to translate the steering input device from a drive position to a retracted position by a combined actuation action.
