A steering column device includes a steering column; and a telescopic actuator. The steering column includes a first column member, a second column member assembled to the first column member in a manner of being displaceable relative to the first column member in an axial direction, and a low-friction sliding member disposed between the first column member and the second column member. The telescopic actuator includes a telescopic motor, and displaces the second column member in the axial direction with respect to the first column member by using the telescopic motor as a drive source.

System, method and apparatus for rake adjustment of a steering column

A system for adjusting a rake of a steering column includes a rake actuator. The system also includes a jacket assembly. The system further includes a first bracket operatively coupled to the jacket assembly, the first bracket defining a first slot. The system yet further includes a second bracket defining a second slot, the second bracket fixed in a stationary position relative to the first bracket, the first and second slots oriented at different angles, but partially aligned. The system also includes a cam follower operatively coupled to the rake actuator, the cam follower having an arm extending through the first slot and the second slot, wherein translation of the cam follower adjusts the angular position of the first bracket and the jacket assembly.

Adjustment lever deceleration assembly for a steering column

An adjustment lever deceleration assembly for a steering column includes an adjustment lever rotatable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The adjustment lever deceleration assembly also includes a component positioned proximate the adjustment lever, the component rotating at a speed less than a rotational speed of the adjustment lever during adjustment between the locked position to the unlocked position. The adjustment lever deceleration assembly further includes an adjustment lever decelerator integrally formed with the adjustment lever, the adjustment lever decelerator positioned on the adjustment lever to contact the component during rotation of the adjustment lever toward the unlocked position, wherein the adjustment lever deflects and absorbs energy upon contact with the component.

Steering column with adjustment limit stop

A steering column having an adjustment limit stop device comprising a body receiving, in a deformable bearing, the sleeve carrying the steering wheel and a mechanism for clamping a shaft with a lever carrying a clamping device compressing the deformable bearing. The steering column comprises a stop device provided with a stop edge carried by the sleeve and with which a lock cooperates that limits the adjustment travel of the sleeve while being retracted after the adjustments of the column have been clamped, allowing the sleeve to travel, in the event of an impact on the steering wheel, in order to absorb the energy.
