BICYCLE BRAKE
A linear brake for a bicycle comprises a pair of pivot mounts, each of which is mounted on a bicycle member laterally of a wheel rim, one on either side of the wheel. A brake arm is pivotally mounted in levered relation on each pivot mount below adjacent and biased away from the wheel rim. A brake shoe is affixed to each brake arm upper end. A control cable is affixed to a control member above the wheel with the control member being connected to the center of a yoke cable. The yoke cable is affixed to the lower end of each brake arm with yoke cable passed partway around the annular component on each pivot mount.
Cable adjuster
A cable adjuster is provided for a small vehicle including a bicycle. The cable adjuster includes a base portion and a control structure. The control structure includes a first member, a second member and a clutch mechanism. The first member is configured to be rotatably mounted to the base portion about a first axis. The second member is attached to the first member to rotate relative to the first member. The clutch mechanism is configured to transmit rotational force applied to the second member to the first member. The clutch mechanism is also configured to prevent from transmitting rotational force applied on the first member to the second member.

Bicycle brake and method for constructing the profile of a surface portion of a lever of said brake
A bicycle brake including a first lever and a second lever is provided. A roller for mutual coupling of the first lever and second lever is pivoted to one of said first lever and second lever and is in rolling contact with a surface portion of the other between said first lever and second lever. The surface portion has a profile defined by a curve that passes by a predetermined number of points of the roller. Each of the points are defined as function of the position taken by the roller during a respective rotation of the roller about a first rotation axis (X1) of the first lever by a respective predetermined angle of rotation and about a second rotation axis (X2) of the second lever by a respective angle substantially equal to said respective predetermined angle of rotation.

Bicycle rim brake
Responsive to a hydraulic piston advancing out of a piston housing in a second brake arm and contacting a piston cam surface of a first brake arm, the second brake arm pivots around a second pivot. As this is happening, a cam surface in the second brake arm lifts a contact surface of a first force transfer member of the first brake arm, imparting torque to the first brake arm which then pivots around a first pivot. The cam surface is shaped to impart synchronous motion to the first and second pad holders. Splitting one of the brake arms with a centering member permits a centering adjust feature.

Brake for bicycle
A brake for a bicycle includes a base, first and second arm assemblies. The first and second arm assemblies are pivoted to the base. The first arm assembly has a first end portion, for connection of a brake line a second end portion for frictionally contacting a brake side of a wheel rim. The second arm assembly is pivoted to the base and corresponds to the first arm assembly. The second arm assembly has a third end portion, a fourth end portion and a second abutting portion which is arranged on the third end portion. The second abutting portion is located correspondingly above the first abutting portion and interferable with the first abutting portion in a pivoting direction of the first abutting portion. The fourth end portion is swingable toward the brake side to clip the other brake side of the wheel rim.
