Marine lifting apparatus
A catamaran lifting apparatus is disclosed for lifting objects in a marine environment. The apparatus includes first and second vessels that are spaced apart during use. A first frame spans between the vessels. A second frame spans between the vessels. The frames are spaced apart and connected to the vessels in a configuration that spaces the vessels apart. The first frame connects to the first vessel with a universal joint and to the second vessel with a hinged connection. The second frame connects to the second vessel with a universal joint and to the first vessel with a hinged or pinned connection. Each of the frames extends upwardly in an inverted u-shape, providing a space under the frame and in between the barges that enables a marine vessel to be positioned in between the barges and under the frames.
Pontoon/tritoon watercraft with cross-hatched chassis
A watercraft includes: a watercraft body; a pontoon frame system coupled with the watercraft body, the pontoon frame system including: a plurality of pontoons spaced apart from one another; and a chassis coupled with and at least partially supporting the watercraft body, the chassis supported by and coupling together the plurality of pontoons, the chassis including a cross-hatched assembly.
Energy harvesting vessels with modular hulls
Described herein are watercraft comprising a hull comprising a first hull assembly, and a second hull assembly opposite the first hull assembly and parallel to the first hull assembly; and a frame configured to couple the first hull assembly to the second hull assembly. In some embodiments, the first hull assembly comprises a first quarter hull coupled to a second quarter hull, and the second hull assembly comprises a third quarter hull coupled to a fourth quarter hull. In some embodiments, the first and third quarter hulls are substantially reflectively duplicative of the second and fourth quarter hulls. In some embodiments, the first hull assembly is substantially reflectively symmetrical to the second hull assembly. Various embodiments may further include a roof comprising one or more energy harvesting arrays thereon. The roof may be movable, in various embodiments, between a closed configuration and an open configuration.
Marine lifting apparatus
A catamaran lifting apparatus is disclosed for lifting objects in a marine environment. The apparatus includes first and second vessels that are spaced apart during use. A first frame spans between the vessels. A second frame spans between the vessels. The frames arc spaced apart and connected to the vessels in a configuration that spaces the vessels apart. The first frame connects to the first vessel with a universal joint and to the second vessel with a hinged connection. The second frame connects to the second vessel with a universal joint and to the first vessel with a hinged or pinned connection. Each of the frames provides a space under the frame and in between the barges that enables a package to be lifted and/or a marine vessel to be positioned in between the barges and under the frames. In this fashion, an object that has been salvaged from the seabed can be placed upon the marine vessel that is positioned in between the barges and under the frames.
Watercraft Tether Device
A watercraft tether device includes a shaft member having opposing ends, and end stabilizers respectively provided at the opposing ends of the shaft member. The end stabilizers each include a lateral stabilizing portion that extends orthogonally with respect to the shaft member and has an outer edge that extends from a first end of the lateral stabilizing portion to a second end of the lateral stabilizing portion. One or more strap members of the watercraft tether device may be respectively engaged with the end stabilizers such that portions of the strap members form adjustable loops extending from the end stabilizers for removably engaging with tethering structures of watercrafts. Also disclosed is a method of using a plurality of watercraft tether devices to tether together watercrafts floating in a body of water, and a strap system engaged with an end stabilizer of the watercraft tether device.
