HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
A hydraulic system for supplying fluid to an actuator comprising a variable speed prime mover drivingly coupled to a variable displacement hydraulic pump. The system is configured to deliver hydraulic fluid via fluid conduits to an actuator. It may deliver hydraulic fluid to an actuator at a first hydraulic pressure at a first rate of pressure rise; and at a second hydraulic pressure at a second rate of pressure rise. The first hydraulic pressure may be greater than the second hydraulic pressure; and the first hydraulic rate of pressure rise may be lower than the second hydraulic rate of pressure rise.
Water sports boards having pressurizable / inflatable baffle chamber structures therein, which are manufacturable by way of 3D printing
A water sports board includes a top deck forming portions of an outer surface of the water sports board; an underside forming portions of the outer surface; a set of internal baffle chamber structures disposed between the top deck and the underside, each baffle chamber structure fluidically isolated from another baffle chamber structure and including a plurality of pressurizable/inflatable baffle elements therein having hollow elongate internal passages that are fluidically coupled to one another; and a set of inflation/deflation valves fluidically coupled to the set of baffle chamber structures, wherein each inflation/deflation valve is accessible from the outer surface of the water sports board. The water sports board can also include a concavity adjustment mechanism by which concavity of the underside of the water sports board is adjustable. Essentially the entire water sports board is manufacturable by way of 3D printing.
Piston pump
A hand-operated piston pump includes a drive shaft and a rotor mounted in a housing case, the rotor having axial compression chambers, a piston biased by an elastic member sliding in each compression chamber and having a projecting end that engages a cam track; a fluid reservoir in the housing case; a valve plate downstream of the rotor having conduits for a pressurized fluid that communicate with conduits in walls of the compression chambers, the valve plate being non-rotatably mounted below the housing case and communicating with conduits that carry the pressurized fluid to and from a consuming unit through an interposed check valve inserted in a corresponding valve body, the valve body having an upper flange with fluid supply and return channels communicating with the fluid conduits of the valve plate. The valve plate floats relative to the upper flange and is separated therefrom by a separating member.

AUTOPILOT AUTORELEASE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods to provide accurate, low lag, and reliable autopilot autorelease in a hydraulic steering system for mobile structures. A hydraulic steering system includes a logic device configured to communicate with an autopilot pump controller, a control surface reference sensor, an orientation sensor, and/or a gyroscope. Control and sensor signals provided by the pump controller and/or the various sensors are used to selectively enable and/or disable an autopilot release signal. The autopilot release signal enables or disables the autopilot pump controller and/or an autopilot pump, or controls the autopilot pump controller to enable or disable the autopilot pump.
