Aircraft landing gear provided with a leaf spring locking device

An aircraft undercarriage comprising: a leg connected to an aircraft structure to be movable between a deployed position and a retracted position; a brace member for holding the leg in its deployed position and comprising a first rod hinged to the aircraft structure and a second rod hinged to the first link and to the leg; a stabilizer member for holding the first and second rods in an aligned position and comprising a first link and a second link that are hinged to each other, with at least one of them being hinged to the brace member; and a spring for elastically urging the hinges of the first and second links into a generally aligned position. The spring comprises at least one spring blade arranged to be subjected to an axial compression force when the first and second links leave the generally aligned position.

Landing gear including a composite strut tube and methods for assembling the same

A landing gear is provided. The landing gear includes a composite strut tube having a first lug and a second lug thereon. A first brace is coupled to the composite strut tube with a first two-force member via the first lug and a second brace is coupled to the composite strut tube with a second two-force member via the second lug. A method for assembling the landing gear is also provided.

DOOR OF AIRCRAFT AND AIRCRAFT HAVING THE SAME

A fence 30A is installed on an inner surface 21a of a door 20A on the side which faces a landing gear bay 15, the fence 30A rising inwardly of the airframe from the inner surface 21a. When the door 20A opens outwardly of an airframe due to a pressure difference between the side of an outer surface 21c of the door 20A and the side of an inner surface 21a facing inner part of the landing gear bay 15 during a flight of an aircraft 10, the fence 30A closes a gap between the door 20A and an opening 15a of the landing gear bay 15, and thereby prevents air from flowing into the landing gear bay 15 through the gap.

Aircraft supplemental thrust device and method of operating the same

A supplemental thrust system for an airplane comprising a submerged inlet duct, a diffuser section in communication with the inlet duct, and a duct outlet in communication with the diffuser section, an outlet nozzle in communication with the duct outlet, a turbocharger unit comprising one or more turbocharges in communication with each other to provide compressed air to the engine and the cabin, a heat exchanger unit comprising a plurality of heat exchangers in the diffuser section to provide cooling liquid to cool pressurized air in the cabin, engine intake air and the engine jacket, where each turbocharger is coupled to the intake manifold of an engine to increase the power of the engine by introducing compressed air into the manifold.

AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR DOOR ACTUATION MECHANISM WITH INTEGRATED EMERGENCY ACTUATION ASSEMBLY

Landing gear doors may be opened in an emergency event, e.g., a failure of the normal landing gear actuation system that requires a gravity free-fall deployment. The retractable aircraft landing gear door actuation mechanism will include a landing gear door and a door support bracket attached to the landing gear door. The support bracket is attached to aircraft structure for pivotal movement about a pivot axis between a closed condition whereby the landing gear door covers an aircraft landing gear when retracted relative to the aircraft structure, and an opened condition whereby the landing gear door is moved laterally and upwardly relative to the aircraft landing gear when extended relative to the aircraft structure. A gear door actuation assembly is operatively connected to the door support bracket for moving the door support bracket and the gear door supported thereby between the closed and opened conditions thereof. The gear door actuation assembly will include an over-the-center spring assembly which assists in pivotal movement of the door support bracket and the gear door supported thereby from the closed condition into the opened condition thereof.

A landing gear for an aircraft having a main fitting arranged to be coupled to the aircraft and arranged to move between a stowed condition and a deployed condition and a trailing arm movably coupled to the main fitting. A torsion spring is coupled to the trailing arm such that the movement of the trailing arm causes torsion loading of the torsion spring. A stay assembly is provided which comprises the torsion spring, the stay assembly having a first condition in which it is arranged to react axial loading thereof so as to maintain the main fitting in the deployed condition and a second condition in which it is arranged to permit the main fitting to move between the stowed condition and the deployed condition.
