HINGED TRUCK ASSEMBLY FOR AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR
20210394890 · 2021-12-23 ·

A truck assembly for aircraft landing gear is provided. The truck assembly includes a hinge connecting a truck beam to a strut of the landing gear. The hinge is configured to allow the truck beam to rotate about the hinge relative to the strut transversely with respect to the length of the truck beam to thereby pivot the truck assembly relative to the strut between a landing position and a stowing position.

CONTROLLING MOVEMENT OF LANDING GEAR OR LANDING GEAR BAY DOORS
20220135213 · 2022-05-05 ·

A method of operating a landing gear controller for an aircraft, including: the landing gear controller receiving one or more signals from at least one position sensor. The one or more signals indicate a position of one of a landing gear bay door and a landing gear when the landing gear bay door or the landing gear, respectively, is part way through a range of travel between two limits of travel. The method may also include the landing gear controller controlling movement of the other of the landing gear bay door and the landing gear on the basis of the one or more signals.

COMPACT AIRCRAFT MAIN LANDING GEAR MODULE ALLOWING MODULAR MOUNTING

A module includes two main landing gears and a landing gear bay containing the landing gears. The bay has two lateral walls, a roof wall, a front wall and a rear wall. The roof wall, the front wall and the rear wall together form a pressurization barrier between the bay and a pressurized compartment. By virtue of the landing gear module, it is now possible to assemble and test the main landing gears and the one or more doors and the fairing before they are installed on the aircraft.

Aircraft main landing gear drag brace backup fitting assemblies and related methods

Aircraft main landing gear drag brace backup fitting assemblies and related methods are described herein. An example aircraft wing disclosed herein includes a rear spar having a rear side and a front side opposite the rear side, a side-of-body rib coupled to the rear spar, a rib post disposed on the front side of the rear spar, where the rib post is to couple a second rib to the rear spar, a side-of-body fitting coupled to the side-of-body rib, an intercostal member coupled between the side-of-body fitting and the rib post, and a drag brace fitting disposed on the rear side of the rear spar. The drag brace fitting is coupled to the rib post and the side-of-body fitting via a first plurality of fasteners extending through the rear spar.

LANDING GEAR ACTUATION SYSTEM

A landing gear actuation system is disclosed herein. The landing gear actuation system includes an attachment point integral to a movable member, a flexible pull member having a first end coupled to the attachment point, and a motor configured to move the flexible pull member, wherein the movement of the flexible pull member moves the attachment point and the movable member.

Landing gear strut assembly and method therefor

A landing gear strut assembly including an outer cylinder, an inner cylinder, and a latch mechanism including a first mounting bracket coupled to the outer cylinder, a second mounting bracket coupled to the inner cylinder, a first latching member pivotally coupled to the first mounting bracket, the first latching member having a latching position and a released position, and a second latching member coupled to the second mounting bracket, wherein in the latching position the first latching member is positioned relative to the second latching member so as to couple with the second latching member and retain the inner cylinder in a retracted position, and wherein in the released position the first latching member is uncoupled from the second latching member so that the inner cylinder is free to move relative to the outer cylinder in the direction of extension of the inner cylinder.

An aircraft including two main landing gears and also a main landing gear bay configured to house, on either side of a vertical median plane, the two main landing gears in a retracted position, the main landing gear bay including a rear transverse wall, a front transverse wall and also an end wall that is approximately perpendicular to the rear and front transverse walls. The main landing gear bay includes at least one strut connecting the rear or front transverse wall and the end wall, approximately positioned in the vertical median plane.

Cable-Driven Four-Bar Link Leg Mechanism

A leg mechanism includes an articulated leg system, a passive device and a cable. The articulated leg system has a leg portion. The passive device is coupled to the articulated leg system and is configured to apply a first force to a portion thereof. The cable is coupled to the articulated leg system and is configured to apply a second force, in opposition to the first force, to a portion thereof. When the cable is drawn away from the articulated leg system, the second force moves the leg portion in a first direction. When tension is released from the cable, the passive device exerts the first force so as to move the leg portion a second direction that is opposite the first direction.

Cable-driven four-bar link leg mechanism

A leg mechanism includes an articulated leg system (100), a passive device (130) and a cable (134). The articulated leg system (100) has a leg portion (128). The passive device (130) is coupled to the articulated leg system and is configured to apply a first force to a portion thereof. The cable (134) is coupled to the articulated leg system (100) and is configured to apply a second force, in opposition to the first force, to a portion thereof. When the cable (134) is drawn away from the articulated leg system (100), the second force moves the leg portion (128) in a first direction. When tension is released from the cable (134), the passive device (130) exerts the first force so as to move the leg portion (128) a second direction that is opposite the first direction.
