METHOD OF MANUFACTURING BEVERAGE WITHIN CONTAINER
Oxygenated beverages are described herein and methods for production of same. In an embodiment, a beverage delivery system is described including a container and an oxygen-containing aqueous liquid wherein the dissolved oxygen content is from about 25 ppm to about 50 ppm, where the liquid and a gas comprising oxygen within the container provide a pressure force of about 20 PSI to about 35 PSI on the interior surfaces of the container, and wherein the nitrogen content is very low causing a force of less than 17 PSI on the interior surfaces of the container.
Apparatus to seal a metallic container
The present invention relates generally to a container that may be sealed and reclosed with a threaded closure. More specifically, the present invention relates to methods of manufacturing a metallic container having an opening with inwardly facing threads that are formed after a threaded closure is inserted at least partially into the opening. The container opening may be selectively sealed and reclosed with the threaded closure which releasably engages the container threads.
QUICK CHANGE GUIDE RAIL ASSEMBLIES
A guide rail device mountable to a container sealing line for guiding moving containers. The guide rail device includes a base mountable to the container sealing line, and a guide rail assembly having a first guide surface adapted to guide containers along a portion of the can sealing line. The guide rail assembly includes a first member, and a second member, wherein the first and second members are adjustably attached to one another. The guide rail assembly is securable to the base after the base is mounted to the container sealing line such that the guide rail assembly and base are self-aligning with respect to one another.
TOOLING FOR INDUSTRIAL CANNING
A tool for seaming and sealing cans such as in the canning of food products. The can seaming tool includes a main pin having a spindle portion and a seam roll connected with the spindle so as to spin about the axis of the spindle. One or more bearing assemblies can be provided between the spindle and the seam roll to facilitate free spinning of the seam roll about the spindle of the main pin. The assembly includes the use of one or more O-rings between the main pin structure and the seam roll. The one or more O-rings advantageously seal the gap between the main pin and seam roll to prevent corrosive materials from the canning environment from entering the assembly and damaging interior components such as the bearing assemblies. This use of sealing O-rings greatly increases the life of the tooling and decreases cost and downtime.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TESTING AND INSPECTING CONTAINERS USING ONE OR MORE LIGHT REFLECTIONS AND POSITIONAL DATA
A system is described for inspecting a container having a top surface using light reflections and positional data. The system comprises a radiation source arranged such that the light beam projects radiation onto the top surface, wherein the radiation radiates along the outer edge of the container; a sensor, wherein the radiation is collected by the sensor reflected from the container using positional data, wherein the positional data is used to create a reference plane of the top of the top surface; and a processor operatively connected to the sensor, the processor integrates the positional data to detect defects in the container and creates a reference plane of a top surface of the container, wherein sensor captures the positional data of the container as the container moves on the conveyor; and the positional data is integrated using software to produce a 3D topographical map of the container.
VACUUM EXTRACTION AND SEALING OF CONTAINERS
A system for evacuating and sealing containers filled with product, for example, food product, includes an enclosed, sealed housing wherein the pressure level and the atmospheric content can be controlled. A vacuum shroud is positioned in registry with a container entrance opening in the housing, the shroud connectible to a vacuum source and to a source of replaceable gas to replace the ambient air to be removed from the container. The shroud is advanceable to seal the container entrance opening and is retractable from the container entrance opening. A container transport system inserts the container through the housing entrance opening and into the shroud. Thereupon, a sealing system seals the housing from the ambient after the container has been inserted into the shroud. After the air in the container has been replaced with an inert gas and then the shroud retracted, a closure subsystem applies a cover to the evacuated container. Thereafter, an out feed subsystem removes the closed container from the housing while maintaining the atmospheric content and pressure level within the housing.
Method for Forming A Reclose Mechanism on a Reclosable Package
A food package for sliced food products to be maintained with a fluffed appearance, the package including a rigid base member forming a compartment for receiving the food product and a rigid lid sealed to the compartment. Advantageously, the base member includes a bottom wall and side wall portions that are configured to engage the food product to hold the slices in a fluffed arrangement thereof. Preferably, one or more tapered side wall portions hold the food product upwardly toward the lid and inwardly toward a center of the package. In preferred embodiments, the base member and lid provide a rigid-rigid construction of the food package. In preferred embodiments, the food package is also configured to stand-up in a vertical display orientation and does not require the food product be contained within a sealed pouch within the compartment.
LIDDING SYSTEM AND LIDDING METHOD
A lidding system includes a transfer apparatus configured to transfer a container which is put on the transfer apparatus such that a bottom of the container contacts the transfer apparatus, the container having an opening opposite to the bottom and a side wall extending from the bottom to the opening; a holding apparatus configured to hold the side wall of the container at a lidding position; and a lidding apparatus configured to press a lid against the container held by the holding apparatus to close the opening.
METHOD TO FILL A CONTAINER
