The present disclosure provides an article carrier blank and an auto-end closure structure, an automatically erectable or foldable end closure for a tubular carrier. The auto-end closure structure comprises at least three overlapping end closure flaps. The end closure includes a pair of innermost flaps which are hinged to respective ones of a pair of opposing panels of the tubular carrier and provide a multi-ply handle. At least one of the pair of innermost flaps comprises a handle opening. At least one of the pair of innermost flaps may comprise a handle flap.

The second top panel includes a handle surrounding an opening and a closure tab extending into the opening. The first top panel includes a slot configured to receive one or more locking projections of the closure tab.

The at least one top panel is foldably connected to at least one of the front panel and the back panel and includes at least one opening for receiving a container of the plurality of containers. The at least one top panel comprises a locking tab and the at least one central panel comprises a locking opening for receiving the locking tab.
