Double-walled container

A single piece container made of cardboard, paperboard or other flexible sheet material which provides improved strength properties, but without the need to laminate layers of sheet material together by having an outer shell comprising sidewall panels (3, 5, 7, 9) and a set of inner sidewall panels (11, 13, 15, 17) connected to the outer shell at foldlines. The set of inner sidewall panels includes a first inner sidewall panel in facing relationship with the inner surface of a first outer shell sidewall panel and integrally connected to one of the outer shell sidewall panels along a foldline, and a first set of further inner sidewall panels integrally connected to the first inner sidewall panel along a foldline, the sidewall panels of the set of further inner sidewall panels being hingedly connected to one another about respective foldlines. The set of inner sidewall panels also includes a second set of further inner sidewall panels integrally connected to the first inner sidewall panel along a foldline, the sidewall panels of the second set of further inner sidewall panels being hingedly connected to one another about respective foldlines.

A packaging box blank and packaging box configured from the packaging box blank enables a shipper to package substantially planar articles for shipment and includes a base box portion, a pair of opposed side wall flap portions, and a pair of opposed top flap portions. The side wall flap portions extend from laterally opposed side wall attachment portions and the top flap portions extend from top flap attachment portions. The side wall flap portions are firstly folded to cover opposed lateral portions of a substantially planar article received in anterior adjacency to the base box portion. The top flap portions are secondly folded to cover opposed longitudinal portions of the article thereby enclosing the article for shipment. Particularly configured top and bottom corner extensions absorb impact at corners of the packaging box for providing damage resistance thereto as shipped articles move through package delivery systems.

A carton for containing at least one article. The carton comprises at least one panel that can form an interior of the carton. The carton comprises at least one protection feature for protecting the articles from breakage. The article protection feature can comprise at least one feature in end flaps of the carton. The article protection feature can comprise an article protection flap foldably connected to the at least one panel. The article protection flap can be moveable between a first position and a second position wherein the article protection flap is folded relative to the at least one panel.

The pack for products has a bottom layer, an intermediate layer, and a top layer, which are arranged one above the other and at a distance from one another and which are connected to each other. The top layer has a receiving strip, which has a plurality of recesses. The receiving strip is pivotable in the direction of the bottom layer about a pivoting axis, which is arranged in the region of the top layer. In the pivoted receiving state of the receiving strip, entry openings of the recesses for the insertion of the products point away from the bottom layer, and supporting sections of the recesses for supporting portions of the products form a boundary of the recesses which lies opposite the entry openings. The intermediate layer has an aperture in a pivoting range of the receiving strip.

The upper, lower, height, and side panels thereby form the external structure of the sleeve. The sleeve may also include at least one pack assembly which extends from one of the panels, and for example from the end height panel. Each pack assembly may include at least one pack divider, which can be positioned between adjacent thermal packs when such thermal packs are contained within the sleeve.

In operation, the object is held securely in three-dimensions between the web section and the upper surface of the platform portion when the side portions are folded in a direction away from the web section thereby tightening the web section against the object between the web section and the platform portion.
