A composite material and structure. The structure has a folded sheet having a rigid inner layer sandwiched between flexible outer layers. The sheet has an undulated shape with alternating summit and valley portions. Intermediate portions each extend between adjacent summit and valley portions. At least one score line extends through at least one of the flexible outer layers. The sheet is folded about the at least one score line. A method of forming a structure from a sheet having an undulated shape.

A container for housing a welding wire that includes an outer sleeve and at least one support member. The outer sleeve of the container may define an interior cavity. The outer sleeve of the container may be in the shape of an irregular octagonal prism. The at least one support member may be disposed within the interior cavity of the outer sleeve. The at least one support member may also extend vertically through the interior cavity of the outer sleeve. The at least one support member may be in the shape of a trapezoidal prism. With the at least one support member disposed within the interior cavity of the outer sleeve, the at least one support member and the outer sleeve collectively define a region of the interior cavity of the first sleeve that has a regular octagonal shaped cross-section.

A container for an article includes a series of walls including a top wall that cooperate to define an interior of the container. A brace assembly is positioned toward an upper end defined by the interior of the container, and includes a brace member that is positioned below the top wall of the container and that defines opposite ends, each of which is located adjacent one of a pair of opposite sidewalls of the container. The brace assembly includes a carrier, which may be formed of a series of corrugated panels, and the brace member may be secured to a hinged brace member mounting panel such that the brace member is suspended above an upper surface of an article within the container interior and below the top wall of the container.

A shipping container having a housing for holding merchandise and having a top that may be opened to allow access to the inside of the housing. A topper contained within the housing is positioned within the housing to present a surface when the lid is opened. A device coupled to the topper is operable to lift the topper and reveal merchandise contained in the housing. The device operable to lift the topper may be a tab, notch or other mechanism coupled to the topper so as to allow the topper to be rotated, slid or lifted away to reveal the merchandise. The surface of the topper preferably has a receptacle for releasably holding information about the merchandise. The shipping container provides a pleasant and upscale experience to the buyer and may be used as a display container for the merchandise.

A tiered pizza box for separately housing a first food item and a second food item, having: a lower box portion having a floor; a left wall; a right wall; a front wall; and a rear wall; an upper lid portion having a lid top; a left flap; a right flap; and a front flap; corner tabs; a plurality of corner slot sets; the tiered pizza box being configured to be folded into an assembled state, forming a lower interior space; and corner brackets configured to be inserted into the plurality of corner slot sets to form a support structure; a tier insert configured to rest on the support structure, forming an upper interior space; such that the first food item can be housed within the lower interior space, and the second food item can be housed within the upper interior space.

A packaging insert formed from a one-piece blank including a main body panel having opposing first and second longitudinal edges and opposing first and second lateral edges. The folded blank further includes a pair of column panels, each column panel including a first side panel, a front panel, a second side panel, and an overlap tab connected to the lateral edges of the main body panel in series at first, second, third, and fourth lateral score lines. The front panel of each column panel is folded about a respective second lateral score line with the overlap tab overlapping and attached to the main body panel. The invention described herein generally pertains to dunnage apparatus for securing an object in a vertical orientation for shipment. The apparatus includes a carton having a cutout portion adapted to at least partially receive an object to be supported. The apparatus secures the object during a stretch wrap process which joins the apparatus and the object together as a unit.

Methods and apparatus for packing a flat screen device for shipment. The method includes: providing a left corrugated end piece and a right corrugated end piece configured to be telescopically received within the left corrugated end piece; providing a top U-shaped fiber cushion configured to be placed over the flat screen device and a bottom U-shaped fiber cushion configured to be placed underneath the flat screen device; and providing respective fiber corner pieces configured to be placed on respective corners of the flat screen device; wherein the top cushion, the bottom cushion, and the fiber corner pieces are vacuum formed using a fiber-based slurry.
