A packaging system for fragile items comprising an outer box, a tray insert and a plurality of inner boxes. The system components protect the items, for example, glass pipes, during distribution, and easily convert into a display system for the items at the point of retail sale. Each item is contained in its own inner box, which includes one or more viewing windows to allow a purchaser easily to view the items. The inner boxes fit removably within paired holes in the tray insert, which provides multiple points of contact to hold the boxes in place, yet allows flexibility to protect the items from impact forces and to allow easy access by a purchaser. The tray insert fits within the outer box, which provides impact and debris protection during transit, and converts to a display mode. Both the outer box and each inner box may be marked with a code to allow inventory tracking.

The invention relates to a packaging made from cardboard, paper or similar, including a front wall and a rear wall, respectively at least one lateral wall connecting the front and rear walls and designed to form respective lateral sides of the packaging. The packaging is designed as a prismatic body along a longitudinal axis, and a base construction includes at least one base closure coupled to the front or rear wall for closing the base of the packaging. A cover construction includes at least one cover closure coupled to the front and rear walls for closing the cover of the packaging.

The present invention relates to a composite container comprising a bottom film layer and a top film layer at least partially adhered to the bottom film layer. The top film layer is scored to form at least one resealable flap and at least one pull tab which is not adhered to the bottom film layer. The bottom film layer comprises at least one cavity opening. A cardboard layer is adhered on its lower surface to the upper surface of the top film layer, wherein the cardboard layer has at least one cavity opening which is substantially aligned with the scoring of the top film layer resealable flap and the cardboard layer is perforated to define a perimeter of at least one pull tab which is substantially aligned with and adhered, on its underside, to the upper surface of the top film layer pull tab.

A package may include a front panel and a back panel opposite the front panel, each including a top end and a bottom end, and a first side panel and a second side panel each extending between the front panel and the back panel. The front panel includes a front panel perforation extending from the first side panel to the second side panel. The back panel includes a back panel perforation extending from the first side panel to the second side panel. A carton for containing a plurality of articles. The carton includes a plurality of panels that extends at least partially around an interior of the carton. The plurality of panels comprising a top panel, a bottom panel, a first side panel, and a second side panel. An article protection insert comprises a plurality of features for engaging a respective article of the plurality of articles. At least one access feature is in the top panel for positioning the article protection insert to a position wherein the features engage at least one article of the plurality of articles.

A combination packaging includes an inner packaging having first side walls, which can be erected from a flat into an erected state, and an outer packaging having second side walls, which can be erected from a flat state into an erected state. The outer packaging has at least one closable lid and one closable bottom, which are articulated to the second side walls and can be folded in into a closed state. The inner and outer packaging are arranged such that they can be jointly transferred into the erected state. The outer packaging, in the erected and closed state thereof, encloses the inner packaging. At least one connecting element connects the inner packaging to the outer packaging, the connecting element having a predetermined breaking point arranged such that erecting of the combination packaging, closing of the inner packaging, or opening of the outer packaging severs the predetermined breaking point.
