PACKAGE FOR SMOKING ARTICLES
A package for storing smoking articles includes a body having a plurality of walls defining a volume, including a front wall and a rear wall, and an opening; a lid for closing the opening and having a plurality of walls and being hinged on the rear wall, allowing the lid to be moved between closed and open positions; a locking tab; and an engagement recess for engaging the locking tab when the lid is in the closed position. The locking tab is connected to one of either the front wall of the body or an inner side of a front wall of the lid, and the engagement recess is located on the other one. The locking tab and the engagement recess each have a respective engagement edge for mutual engagement. The engagement edge of at least one of the locking tab and the engagement recess follows a curved line.
Hinged lid packaging
A blank for forming an inner packaging container of a pack for consumer goods including an outer packaging container and the inner packaging container. The inner packaging container includes a dispensing opening with a resealable closure, a front panel, a back panel, a top panel, a bottom panel, and opposing side panels; each side panel having an inner panel and an outer panel, the inner panel having a first width defining a width of the inner packaging container, and the outer panel including at least a portion having a second width defining flanges having a width greater than the first width. The inner packaging container is insertable within the outer packaging container such that the flanges extending from the back panel of the inner packaging container exert a biasing force on the hinged lid of the outer packaging container to assure lid closure is maintained.
Multi-Compartment Cigarette Package
An improved cigarette package is provided. The cigarette package first includes a container which serves as a housing for two or more compartments, each compartment holding a plurality of cigarettes. The package also includes a lid which is hingedly connected to the container at an upper end. Opening and closing the lid provides selective access and closure to the container. The inner compartments each include a compartment tab that allows for opening and re-sealing of the respective inner compartments. Thus, a dual-compartment cigarette package is provided wherein the compartments may be independently opened and re-sealed. The configuration allows for selective opening of a single compartment while preserving the factory seal on the unopened compartment so that freshness and aromatic oils of the cigarettes within the package are preserved, even after opening of the package and compartments.
PACK FOR SMOKING ARTICLES
Disclosed is a pack (1) for smoking articles, the pack comprising: a container (100) having front, rear, first side and second side panels (110, 150, 130, 170) and curved edges (120, 140, 160, 180) connecting the front, rear, first side and second side panels (110, 150, 130, 170), the container (100) defining a chamber (104) for storing smoking articles and an opening (106) through which smoking articles are removable from the chamber (104); an inner frame (200) projecting through the opening (106) from within the chamber (104), the inner frame (200) having a front portion (210) and first and second side portions (230, 250) extending from first and second sides of the front portion to respective free ends (280, 290) of the inner frame (200), wherein the free ends (280, 290) of the inner frame (200) are spaced apart from the first and second side panels (130, 170) of the container (100) and abut the rear panel (150) of the container (100); and a lid (300) having front, rear, first side and second side panels (310, 350, 330, 370) and curved edges (320, 340, 360, 380) connecting the front, rear, first side and second side panels (310, 350, 330, 370) of the lid (300), the lid (300) defining a cavity (304). The rear panel (350) of the lid (300) is hinged to the rear panel (150) of the container (100) so that the lid (300) is movable relative to the container (100) between a closed position, at which the lid (300) blocks the opening (106) with the inner frame (200) projecting into the cavity (304) of the lid (300), and an open position, at which the lid (300) does not block the opening (106).
Package for smoking articles
The present invention relates to a package for smoking articles comprising a container portion (2) and a lid (3) hingedly connected to the container portion (2) about a hinge line (5). The container portion (2) has an inner frame (19) and an outer frame (18). The lid (3) includes an end portion (15) and a lid wall (12) extending from the end portion (15) that overlaps a container wall (6) of the container portion (2) when closed, the container wall (6) having a locking element (27) that locates over a corresponding locking part (35) on the lid wall (12) and a recess (24) formed in the inner frame (19) extending from an upper edge (20) of the inner frame (19). In one embodiment, a lower edge (25) of the recess (24) is spaced further from the upper edge (20) of the container wall (6) than the locking element (27). In another embodiment, the recess (24) extends into the second container wall (8).
FOOD PACKAGING
The present disclosure relates to thermally insulating food packaging and more particularly to containers for storing or transporting food when the temperature of the food is significantly different to that of the surrounding environment. In particular, a food packaging material for enclosing food is described, the material including a first, moisture-permeable inner layer, a second, moisture-impermeable outer layer and a third, insulating moisture-tolerant layer disposed between the first and second layers and spacing the first and second layer apart, wherein the third layer has an undulating form including voids and wherein the first, second and third layers are arranged such that moisture emanating from food within the container passes through the first layer and the third layer and condenses on the second, moisture-impermeable outer layer.
CONTAINER FOR CONSUMER GOODS WITH SMOOTH LID CLOSING ACTION
A container for consumer articles comprises a box portion, a lid and an inner frame within the box portion. The inner frame comprises an inner frame front wall; first and second inner frame side walls each depending along an inner frame fold line from the inner frame front wall; a first and a second cut lines in the first and second inner frame side walls. Each cut line intersects a respective inner frame fold line at upper and lower intersection points. The cut lines define a pair of locking tabs, each of which extends outwardly from the inner frame towards a respective side wall of the container and past an edge formed by the inner frame front wall with a respective inner frame side wall, and interacting with the lid portion of the container when the lid portion is between the open position and the closed position. Each of the first and second cut lines comprises an undulated portion comprising at least two peaks and a trough, a distance between adjacent peaks of the undulated portion being at least about 0.8 mm.
Package
The present disclosure relates to a package for a delivery system. The package includes a container and a lid hingedly connected to the container about a hinge line, and an inner frame received in the container. The inner frame has a portion that extends from the container which is received in the lid when the lid is closed. The package further includes a raised seal line that is formed on the portion of the inner frame and/or on an inner surface of the lid. The raised seal line is configured to minimize a gap between the portion of the inner frame and the inner surface of the lid when the lid is closed. The present disclosure also relates to a method of manufacturing the package.
Method for producing packaging blanks for consumer goods
Method for producing a plurality of blanks from a continuous strip of material. Firstly, a continuous strip of material (101) is provided, the strip having a plurality of cut-outs (103) spaced along a longitudinal direction thereof. Then, the continuous strip is cut along a plurality of cut lines (203) to form the plurality of blanks (301), each cut line comprising a straight transverse section and a curved section. Each cut line intersects a respective cut-out in the strip in the curved section of the cut line. Each cut line, together with its respective intersected cut-out, corresponds to an edge (303, 305) of at least one of the plurality of blanks. There is also provided a blank (301) formed by the method and a container (400) for consumer goods, the container comprising an inner frame (301) formed from a blank formed according by the method.
