Method of opening a package of pourable food product
A reclosable opening device for a sealed package of a pourable food product includes a frame fitted about a pierceable portion of the package and defining a through pour opening; a removable threaded cap that screws onto the frame to close the pour opening; a tubular cutter engaging the pour opening and having a cutting device which cooperates with the pierceable portion to unseal the package; a first connector connecting the cap to the cutter, and which, as the cap is unscrewed, pushes the cutter towards the pierceable portion and a second connector connecting the frame to the cutter, and which, in use, feed the cutter along a predetermined piercing path through the pierceable portion in response to unscrewing of the cap; and the piercing path, as the cap is unscrewed, has a first portion of pure axial translation, followed by a second portion of both axial and rotary motion.
Paper-based or paperboard-based container and related methods
A paper-based or paperboard-based container (100) for holding a pourable food product is described, the container comprising: a substantially planar bottom portion; a top portion arranged opposite the bottom portion and comprising a top panel and a top sealing region (126) forming a top seal of the container; and a wall portion extending between the bottom portion and the top portion and comprising a plurality of wall sections (108b, 108c) bordering the top panel and a longitudinal sealing band (14) extending between the bottom portion and the top portion and over at least one of the wall sections, wherein the top sealing region is folded onto said at least one of the wall sections comprising the longitudinal sealing band (14) and being attached thereto. A blank and a sleeve for producing the container is also described, as is a method for producing the container.
CLOSURE DEVICE WITH SUPPORT RING
A closure device for closing a container. The closure device includes a basic member, a closure cap, an anchor ring and a connecting device. The basic member has an additional support arranged axially between a fastener and a first guide. The support has a first surface element with a surface normal which points in the direction of a pouring plane. The closure device is configured such that, in the open state of the closure device, the closure cap can be brought into a first position in which the closure cap abuts neither against the first surface element nor against a first edge bounding the first surface element, and can be brought into a second position in which the closure cap abuts against the first surface element or against the first edge or against the first surface element and the first edge.
CLOSURE DEVICE FOR ASEPTIC LIQUID CONTAINING CONTAINERS
The present invention relates to a closure device for aseptic paper or paper-based containers which can be used for storing liquid products. In particular, the present invention relates to a closure device comprising three parts. It has a pour spout which can be fixed to an outer surface of the container, a cap having a re-sealable lid portion being permanently connected to a retainment portion via a hinge and a barrier breaking device moveably attached to the pour spout and configured to break a liquid tight seal of the paper or paper-based container upon twisting said cap.
The invention also relates to an assembly comprising a container and said closure device and a method for providing the assembly.
Tethered Closure Device with Stabilised Connecting Element
A closure device for a container, particularly a carton package, is provided. The closure device includes a basic member having a pouring channel extending along a closure axis with an inlet opening and a pouring opening, and a closure cap having a cap cover and a cap skirt adjoining the cap cover circumferentially and extending axially. The closure cap and the basic member are configured such that the closure cap closes the pouring opening in a closed position and releases it in an open position. The closure device includes an anchor ring and a connecting element that connects the anchor ring to the closure cap in a tension-proof manner. The anchor ring engages the basic member in the closed position and in the open position such that the closure cap is tethered to the basic member with the connecting element and the anchor ring in the open position.
OPENING DEVICE FOR A PACKAGE AND PACKAGE THEREWITH
