RESEALABLE ZIPPER BAG ALIGNMENT BUTTON
An alignment button for easy resealing of zipper bags is provided. One or more alignment buttons facilitate closure of resealable storage bags possessing zipper lock, zip fastener, or press seal closures, such as sandwich bags and plastic food storage bags. Each alignment button has a raised feature and a corresponding socket feature on opposing sides of the bag's seal or closure. When the two parts of each alignment button are pressed together, the socket feature captures an apex part of the raised feature and aligns opposing tracks of a zipper lock or seal for easy closure. One of more of the alignment buttons may be manufactured as an integral feature of the seal or closure, or may be located in a line or pattern, above or below the seal or closure. Likewise, multiple alignment buttons may be placed above and below the seal or closure in a pattern.
Microstructure connecting mechanism and plastic storage bag with microstructure closure mechanism
A connection mechanism including a plurality of microstructure features. The connection mechanism includes a first strip, with a plurality of protrusions extending from the first strip, and a second strip, with a plurality of protrusions extending from the second strip. The protrusions define grooves between adjacent protrusions. A pressure sensitive adhesive is provided in at least some of the grooves. When the first and second strips are brought together, the protrusions from one strip are received in the grooves of the other, and some of the protrusions contact the pressure sensitive adhesive, thereby connecting the first and second strips. The connection mechanism can be used as a closure mechanism for a plastic storage bag.
Reclosable bag having a loud sound during closing
A zipper for a reclosable bag including an elongated groove profile having two arms which form a general U-shape to define an opening to a channel, and an elongated rib profile opposing the groove profile, wherein a plurality of first segments of the rib profile alternate with a plurality of second segments of the rib profile to create a structural discontinuity along a length thereof, wherein during interlocking the groove and rib profiles, an audible clicking sound of at least 50 dB on average is created during opening and closing.
RECLOSABLE BAG HAVING A LOUD SOUND DURING CLOSING
A zipper for a reclosable bag includes an elongated groove profile having two arms which form a general U-shape to define an opening to a channel, and an elongated rib profile opposing the groove profile. A plurality of first segments of the rib profile alternate with a plurality of second segments of the rib profile to create a structural discontinuity along a length thereof. During interlocking of the groove and rib profiles, an audible clicking sound of at least 50 dB on average is created during opening and closing.
METHODS FOR FORMING AND OPENING CHILD-RESISTANT RECLOSABLE BAGS
A child-resistant reclosable bag includes a container configured to retain one or more items within a product portion. A zipper is coupled to the container. The zipper is above the product portion. The zipper includes one or more primary seals, and one or more secondary seals at one or more defined locations. The one or more secondary seals at the one or more defined locations identify opening areas on the product portion. The opening areas are configured to be grasped and pulled apart to open the zipper.
RECLOSABLE POUCH WITH AN ELONGATE CLOSURE MECHANISM
A reclosable pouch in combination with an elongate closure mechanism. The elongate closure mechanism includes a first base member disposed along a first sidewall. A pair of interlocking members extends from a first surface of the first base member, and are parallel to each other with a space therebetween. A plurality of partial indentations is disposed along a second surface of the first base member, extending longitudinally between the opposite ends of the elongate closure mechanism, and being visible between the opposite ends of the elongate closure mechanism. The pair of interlocking members extending from the first base member occlude and deocclude with a pair of interlocking members extending from the second base member, in order to resealably close the mouth. The plurality of partial indentations remains visible during the occluding and deoccluding.
Reclosable pouch with an elongate closure mechanism
A reclosable pouch in combination with an elongate closure mechanism. The pouch has a mouth defining an opening into an interior space. The elongate closure mechanism includes a first base member disposed along a first sidewall. A pair of interlocking members extends from a first surface of the first base member. The interlocking members are parallel to each other with a space therebetween. A plurality of partial indentations is disposed along a second surface of the first base member, extending longitudinally between the opposite ends of the elongate closure mechanism, and being visible between the opposite ends of the elongate closure mechanism. The interlocking members extending from the first base member occlude and deocclude with a pair of interlocking members extending from the second base member, in order to resealably close the mouth. The plurality of partial indentations remains visible during the occluding and deoccluding.
STORAGE BAG WITH FEATURES THAT FACILITATE SEALING AND UNSEALING OF THE BAG
A storage bag includes first and second side surfaces that form an interior of the bag with an opening to the interior. A first closure profile connected to the first side surface and positioned adjacent to the opening has a top edge and includes an interlocking member that extends between first and second sides of the first closure profile forms a lip between the interlocking member and the top edge. A second closure profile connected to the second side surface and positioned adjacent to the opening of the bag has a top edge and includes an interlocking member. A first portion of the lip of the second closure profile smoothly transitions into a third portion of the lip of the second closure profile, and the third portion of the lip of the second closure profile smoothly transitions into a second portion of the lip of the second closure profile.
Audible cut and crush zipper
A zipper for a reclosable package or bag, wherein the female profile has been crushed at first periodical intervals and the male profile has been cut at second periodic intervals. This provides audible and tactile feedback characteristics to the zipper.
SLIDER WITH ERGONOMIC FEATURES
A slider for a closure assembly of a bag. The slider has a pair of finger pads extending from a top wall. Each pad has a surface with a curved portion running from a front end to a back end of the slider, a defined, first curved area extending from the curved portion to an end of the first curved area, and a defined, second curved area extending from the end of the first curved area to a midpoint of the curved portion. The first curved area and the second curved area are defined by different angles at which the respective curved area extends into the respective finger pad. Each finger pad includes a major axis dimension greater than a minor axis dimension to provide an area that fits an average finger size, and a lip region to guide a finger of a user into a finger pad.
