CLOSURES FOR LIQUID-DISPENSING CONTAINERS AND METHODS FOR MAKING AND USING SUCH CLOSURES
20170057708 · 2017-03-02 ·

A closure can include a base having an opening. The base can be connected to a container such that a liquid in the container, for example a creamer, is pourable through the opening of the closure into a beverage cup. The closure can include an overcap having a plug, and the plug can seal the opening when the overcap is in a closed position relative to the base. A hinge can connect the overcap to the base and be biased to establish and maintain an angle of the overcap when the overcap moves out of the closed position. Liquid retained on the overcap during opening of the overcap can then fall directly into the beverage cup during pouring due to the angle of the overcap in the open position. Any retained liquid ingredient that falls from the overcap onto the base can be confined within a ring on the base.

In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods provided herein are useful for dispensing a fluid, such as a thixotropic fluid. In some embodiments, a bottle having a closure cap includes a flip top, a base, and a disk, where the base and disk define a mixing chamber configured to facilitate mixing of any serum or liquid separated from the fluid back therein. In some configurations, the base has a central opening through which the fluid exits and an internal shaft with a non-planar end surface opposite the central opening. In some configurations, the non-planar end surface and the disk define channels between the mixing chamber and the internal shaft. In some embodiments, the disk includes a central opening, a plurality of partial annular openings through a planar surface of the disk, and projections extending into the mixing chamber.

A closure (20, 20A) is provided for a container that has an opening to the container interior wherein contents may be stored. The closure (20, 20A) includes the following: (A) a closure body (30, 30A) defining (i) a pour aperture (50) that can communicate-with the container opening and that can accommodate pouring out of the contents through the pour aperture (50), and (ii) at least one vent aperture (60) that can communicate with the container opening and that can accommodate the in-venting of ambient atmosphere through the vent aperture (60) into the container, and (B) a lid (32, 32A) for closing the closure (20, 20A). The pour aperture (50) has an elongate configuration oriented along a central axis line (A) that bisects the pour aperture (50) and closure body (30).

PLASTIC FORMED BODY FOR POURING OUT LIQUID

A plastic formed body having a pouring port 110 for pouring out highly wetting liquid that wets plastics to a high degree, wherein at least either a surface 110b that becomes a liquid-drip flow passage when said liquid drips at the pouring port 110 or a surface 110a that becomes a flow passage when said liquid is poured out, is coated with a fluorine-contained resin, and a surface of the fluorine-contained resin coating has an arithmetic mean roughness (Ra) in a range of 0.4 to 200 m in the surface roughness measurement and an element mean height (Rh) in a range of 0.04 to 10 as defined by mean height (Rc)/element mean length (RSm) in the linear roughness measurement. The formed body effectively prevents said highly wetting liquid from dripping at the pouring port 110.

DEVICE FOR DISPENSING A FLOWABLE MATERIAL

A dispenser comprising a body with an outlet, and a closure for the outlet. The closure and the body are pivotally movable relative to each other between an open position in which the outlet is open and a closed position in which the closure closes the outlet. The closure and the body are adapted for locking engagement with each another in the closed position. The closure has a locking member for locking and unlocking the closure and the body in the closed position. A force applied on the locking member for unlocking urges the closure toward the open position. The dispenser preferably facilitates the application of a material to be dispensed to a desired location.

SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC OPENING CONTAINERS PROVIDED WITH SEALING ELEMENTS
20250250074 · 2025-08-07 ·

The present invention refers to a system for automatic opening device for a container provided with a spout having a rim with a sealing element firmly attached thereto, said system comprising an automatic opening device for a container and a threaded spout that provide means that obviate the need to unscrew the cap of the container and next remove the sealing element from the rim of the spout in order to enable pouring of the product stored in the container.

Flip-top closure and a package

A flip-top closure includes first and second closure portions. The first closure portion includes a top wall portion with a tamper-evident winged section and a middle section, which are connected via a frangible connection. The winged section forms an undercut. The top wall portion includes a drivable structure to assist in threading the flip-top closure into a container. The second closure portion includes an annular skirt portion and a ledge. The annular skirt portion forms an external thread formation. The ledge includes at least one locking protrusion. A hinge connects the first and second closure portions. In an initially closed position, the undercut of the winged section corresponds with and lockingly engages with the locking protrusion. During movement of the hinge from the initially closed position to an open position, the frangible connection breaks leaving the winged section being lockingly engaged with the locking protrusion.

Container closure with tamper-evident ring, and method for assembling a container closure of this kind

The invention relates to a container closure comprising a base portion which extends about a reference axis of the container closure, a cap portion which in a closed positioned covers a drinking hole in the container closure and in an open position leaves said drinking hole in the container closure uncovered, and a tamper-evident ring which is separate from the cap portion and the base portion and is interlockingly connected to the cap portion and connected to the base portion in a hooked manner. The tamper-evident ring has an annular bead that is not radially covered by the base portion and extends in an annular groove of an outer wall of the cap portion, which wall faces radially outward.
