20210309425 · 2021-10-07 ·

In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods provided herein are useful for dispensing a fluid, such as a thixotropic fluid. In some embodiments, a bottle having a closure cap includes a flip top, a base, and a disk, where the base and disk define a mixing chamber configured to facilitate mixing of any serum or liquid separated from the fluid back therein. In some configurations, the base has a central opening through which the fluid exits and an internal shaft with a non-planar end surface opposite the central opening. In some configurations, the non-planar end surface and the disk define channels between the mixing chamber and the internal shaft. In some embodiments, the disk includes a central opening, a plurality of partial annular openings through a planar surface of the disk, and projections extending into the mixing chamber.

Child-Resistant Closure

A closure comprises: a base for mounting to a container body neck; a cover; and a hinge coupling the cover to the base. The base comprises: an inner sidewall bearing a feature for engaging the neck; an outer sidewall spaced apart from the inner sidewall; an upper web coupling the inner sidewall to the outer sidewall; first and second apertures in the upper web; and first and second apertures in the outer sidewall. The cover comprises a first tab and a second tab. The cover has a closed condition, wherein: the first tab extends into the first aperture in the upper web; and the second tab extends into the second aperture in the upper web.

Closures for liquid-dispensing containers and methods for making and using such closures

A closure can include a base having an opening. The base can be connected to a container such that a liquid in the container, for example a creamer, is pourable through the opening of the closure into a beverage cup. The closure can include an overcap having a plug, and the plug can seal the opening when the overcap is in a closed position relative to the base. A hinge can connect the overcap to the base and be biased to establish and maintain an angle of the overcap when the overcap moves out of the closed position. Liquid retained on the overcap during opening of the overcap can then fall directly into the beverage cup during pouring due to the angle of the overcap in the open position. Any retained liquid ingredient that falls from the overcap onto the base can be confined within a ring on the base.

CLOSURE

A closure for a liquid container includes a base portion and a top portion. The base portion includes a top deck and an outer skirt extending from an outer end of the top deck in a lower direction away from the top deck. The outer skirt comprises a fastening means to interconnect the closure to the container neck. The top deck further has a spout extending in an upper direction away from the top deck. The top portion includes an annular base interconnectable to the base portion and a cover having an outer wall. At least one tamper element extends from the annular base in the upper direction above the annular base along the outer wall but spaced a distance apart from said outer wall. The tamper element is also initially interconnected to the outer wall by a predetermined breaking linkage.

Flip-Top Cap For Dispensing A Flowable Dental Substance
20210171247 · 2021-06-10 ·

A flip-top cap (83) for dispensing a flowable dental substance which is monolithically formed of a thermoplastic material. The flip-top cap has a base (4) from which a dropper nose (8) protrudes and a closure that is hingedly connected to the base for pivoting between a closed position, in which the closure closes the dropper nose, and an open position, in which the dropper nose is uncovered from the closure. The closure has an end wall (20) forming an outward planar end face (21) and, opposite thereof, an inner face (22) that has a sealing bulge (23). The end wall forms a first thickness (T1) between the vertex of the sealing bulge and the end face and a second thickness (T2) between a marginal area adjacent the sealing bulge and the end face. The ratio between the first and second thickness is between 1.4 and 1.6.

A closure (40) includes a closure body (54) defining a first latch portion (60) and a lid (56) connected to the body (54) movable between (i) a closed position, and (ii) an open position. The lid includes a flexible, recessed press portion (58) defining a second latch portion (64). The closure body (54) and the lid (56) have (i) a latched configuration with the lid (56) in the closed position wherein the first latch portion (60) and the second latch portion (64) are oriented in a confronting relationship to prevent the lid (56) from moving into its open position, and (ii) an unlatched configuration with the lid (56) in the closed position wherein the recessed press portion (58) is deflected inwardly to move the second latch portion (64) out of the confronting relationship with the first latch portion (60) to permit the lid (56) to move from its closed position.
