A connector for a self sealing fitment that includes a body, a lower flange, and a locking mechanism. The connector is configured to sealingly engage with a cap coupled to a spout of a flexible bag by sealingly engaging with a sealing membrane of the cap. The locking mechanism facilitates the maintaining of the same in the inserted configuration. A lockout collar is provided to preclude inadvertent and undesirable coupling between a connector and a sealing membrane of a cap.

The present disclosure provides a squeezable fiber-based bottle for storing and dispensing a viscous liquid. The bottle comprises a molded base including a liquid containing surface having an aperture for dispensing viscous liquid. The molded base includes a base perimeter having a perimeter surface with an upper edge and a lower edge. The squeezable fiber-based bottle comprises a fiber-based side wall having an upper edge, a lower edge, an inner surface, and an outer surface. The side wall includes a front, a back and two opposing side panels. At least one of the opposing side panels includes crease lines forming a flat portion. The fiber-based side wall is attached to the molded base forming an impermeable seal such that the lower edge of fiber-based side wall is disposed near the perimeter surface upper edge but not the perimeter surface lower edge. The impermeable seal is formed about the entire perimeter surface of the molded base.

A dispensing system for a liquid container including a cap configured to be mounted to a spout connected to a liquid container. The system includes a flexible valve positioned in the cap to be in contact with the liquid contents of the liquid container and a retaining ring connected to the cap to secure the flexible valve to the cap. The cap includes at least one channel defined by a projection configured to receive the tab of a connecting member and secure the connecting member to the cap by securing the tab in the channel under the projection.

A tap (1) for dispensing liquids from a container is described, comprising a main body (3) adapted to be placed at the dispensing end of the container and comprising an integrated tamper-evident guarantee ring (3.1) which can be removed in a first opening step of the tap (1), a valve (5) inserted between a lower fixing body (4) and the main body (3), including slits (5.2) for the penetration of a dispensing dart (6), the lower fixing body (4) designed to block the valve (5) and allow the correct opening and closing and sealing of the slots (5.2) of the valve (5), and an upper cap (2) mounted on the main body (3) and anchored to the security ring (3.1) integrated in the main body (3).
