For example, the formulation dispensing device can include ingredients that can be added to a range of different drinks, including sports drinks, dietary drinks, and as a critical life supporting drinks in humanitarian situations. The formulation dispensing device can also include a lid configured to pivot between open and closed positions and can seal the dispensing device which allows the beverage container to be inverted during consumption without leakage through the first aperture.

In the first embodiment, said dispenser comprises a cap, tube, base and elastic cord internally disposed between said cap and said base. In a second embodiment said dispenser incorporates a D-ring attachment into the dispenser of the first embodiment. Multiple dispensers of the first embodiment can be transported and stored on one's person in a caddy with integral matching boreholes to receive said dispensers. Multiple dispensers of the second embodiment can be grouped on a split ring much as keys on a keyring. In a third embodiment the cap of said dispenser incorporates an O-ring which guards the contents of said container against moisture or allows the storage and dispensing of gels, creams or other viscous fluids. Said dispenser finds application in diverse areas; for example, in fly fishing for the dispensing of split shot; in the work shop for dispensing of small screws, washers, and related hardware; in the arts and craft field for the dispensing of beads, and in the medical field for the dispensing of pills.

The mouthpiece is movable between a closed position and an open position to allow fluid inside the container to flow through the mouthpiece. The sealing member is fitted on the lid body to sealingly engage the lid body to an open end of the container. The sealing member includes an annular flange sealingly engaging a second inner surface of the lid body. The flange includes a groove that defines a location on the lid where ambient air flowing into the vent hole can enter a container interior as fluid flows out of the container through the mouthpiece.

The baffle may also include a baffle passage defining an opening through a middle section of the liquid container between the lower compartment and the upper compartment. The upper compartment may form an upper cavity to hold the liquid.

In one embodiment, a device for dispensing fuel includes a spout for pouring liquid fuel, an annular fitting including a chamber formed therein. A sealing surface, a stopper, and spring may be disposed within the chamber. The annular fitting may be attached to the spout. The annular fitting may be configured to mate with a portable fuel canister. The fitting may include sidewalls forming a channel for liquid fuel, an outer wall enveloping a portion of the sidewall forming a chamber proximate the liquid channel, and an atmospheric orifice formed in the outer wall. The sealing surface may be disposed proximal the orifice. The spring may be configured to bias the stopper into contact with the sealing surface such that the chamber is in selective pressure-dependent fluid communication with an atmosphere outside the device.

In some examples of the invention, the spool may narrow in an S-shaped fashion, and the holes of the spool may be located on a portion of the spool that narrows to form S-shaped holes. These holes may swirl liquid as it is poured from the nozzle to create a more uniform flow.
