Ultraviolet Disinfection for a Water Bottle
Disinfection of a surface, such as a mouthpiece of a water bottle, using ultraviolet radiation is disclosed. A cover assembly can include a cover configured to selectively enclose the surface to be disinfected, such as the mouthpiece. The cover assembly can be configured such that ultraviolet radiation can be emitted into an interior volume at least partially formed by the cover and including the surface. The cover assembly can further include a power source which provides power to one or more ultraviolet light sources that emit the ultraviolet radiation. The cover assembly can be a mouthpiece cover assembly physically separate from a container and top cover or integrated in the top cover. A container and a top cover including one or more features for improved cleanliness are also disclosed.
System of Filtering Runoff Water from a Roof Cleaning
A system of filtering runoff water from a roof cleaning is used to remove contaminants from water that has been used for rooftop cleaning. The system is also configured to gather water noninvasively from downspouts or topographically low points upon the roof. The system of filtering runoff water from a roof cleaning utilizes a pump that is connected to a large bin for filtration. The pump is placed at a low point upon the rooftop, thus enabling optimal water collection for subsequent pumping. The bin contains a disposable filter through which pumped water may pass, either through force from the pump pressure or due to the effects of gravity. Clean water is then ejected from the bin, or otherwise guided to an appropriate drainage area. This arrangement allows for easy maintenance, as a rooftop cleaner need only to swap out the old filter for a new one after cleaning.
Headspace modification method for removal of vacuum pressure and apparatus therefor
To modify the headspace in a container to remove vacuum pressure, a container has a seal or cap which may provide a temporary opening into the container which is sealable under compression to provide a controlled raising of the internal pressure as the heated contents of the container cools. A sealing chamber (84) may enable the introduction of a fluid into the headspace (23b) to force the fluid level (40) lower. Other methods and apparatus are described.
ADJUSTABLE ADDITIVE CARTRIDGE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An additive delivery system may incorporate a cartridge system, including a container cap and a reservoir assembly that provides for storage of an additive. The container cap includes a mixing nozzle for mixing of the additive with a base fluid as the base fluid flows from the base fluid container through the cartridge. A one-way valve prevents backflow of base fluid and/or mixed base fluid/additive from an area downstream of the mixing nozzle such that the base fluid supply remains in a pure state.
Scent delivery and preservation systems and methods for beverage containers
Disclosed are devices, systems and methods for controlling scent delivery by a scented article for beverage containers. In some aspects, a scent delivery system includes a cap attachable to a beverage container; and a scented article that couples to the cap, wherein the cap comprises a base, a movable component coupled to the base and able to move between a first position and a second position, and a scent chamber including an encasement to which the scented article is attached, the encasement coupled to the movable component or the base, wherein a portion of the scented article is exposed to air from an outside environment with respect to the cap when the movable component is in the second position, and wherein the encasement creates a contact seal to enclose the scented article within the scent chamber and lock in the scent when the movable component is in the first position.
SPORT WATER BOTTLE WITH HIGH FLOW RATE
A bottle assembly has a bottle and a removable cap. The cap includes a nozzle and a vent arrangement. The vent arrangement can include a vent conduit that extends into an air cavity present at the bottom of the bottle assembly when the bottle assembly is inverted. The vent arrangement allows for pressure equalization within the bottom assembly in response to liquid being dispensed from the bottle assembly to permit high flow rates of the dispensed liquid without squeezing of the bottle.
Refillable pump dispenser
A refillable pump dispenser comprising an outer container formed at an upper portion thereof with an entrance, an inner container inserted into the outer container for accommodating a cosmetic product in the inner container; a pushing plate inserted into an inner lower side of the inner container to push up the cosmetic product; and a dispenser head assembly removably coupled with upper sides of both the outer container and the inner container so that the outer container and the dispenser head assembly can be reused while the inner container can be replaced or refilled when the cosmetic product accommodated inside the inner container has been completely exhausted.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING BUFFER SOLUTIONS FOR IN VITRO TESTING OF THE SOLUBILITY OF MEDICAMENTS, PACKAGING FOR PRODUCING THE BUFFER SOLUTION AND KIT FOR TESTING CLINICAL STATES
A method for preparing a buffer solution suitable for physiologically relevant in vitro drug dissolution testing, drug solubility testing and/or drug profiling, the method comprising: (a) dispensing from a deformable container into a second container a predetermined quantity of a concentrate of the buffer solution, said deformable container having an orifice or aperture configured to dispense the concentrate in a dropwise manner and/or in a controlled stream, and (b) diluting the predetermined quantity of the concentrate with a predetermined quantity of a solvent to produce the buffer solution. A pack comprising a container and a concentrate of said buffer solution within the container, and a method for preparing the said pack, are also provided.
Spill-proof lid for drinking vessel
A reusable, spill-proof lid for a drinking vessel. The lid has a cap member that is selectively moveable between a seated position to form an inner seal, and an unseated position that forms a gap that facilitates drinking of liquid contents from the drinking vessel. The lid is particularly moveable from the seated position to the unseated position via a downwardly directed force applied by the upper lip of a user.
Retrofit Bottle Filtration Device
An apparatus provides a water bottle mouthpiece attachment which can filter microplastics and other contaminant substances from bottles, particularly disposable plastic water bottles. The filter of the apparatus includes a filter housing that is attached to a cap that fits inside a common plastic bottle. Soft rubber rings, tapering from to radially larger on the top to radially smaller on the bottom in a generally conical fashion, ensure a watertight fit to the inside opening of any drinking bottle. A friction closing/opening spout at the top of the filter enables selective opening of the bottle and prevents accidental spillage of bottle contents. The filter housing is also offset from the center, giving space to an air valve that allows air to enter the bottle without disturbing the flow of water from the bottle, thus providing optimal lamellar flow without allowing fluid to escape through the air valve during consumption.
