PERFORATING CAP, PARTICULARLY FOR A FLEXIBLE TUBE
The present invention relates to an assembly for closing a tube. The assembly includes a tube head including a neck and a closure liner sealing the neck. The assembly also includes a cap that includes a punch adapted to cut the closure liner. The neck and the cap are configured to allow the cap to be fixedly held on the neck in a first positionthe standby positionin which the punch is held at a distance from the closure liner, and in a second positionthe position of usein which the punch perforates the closure liner.
Single use container with dispenser
Single use containers designed to store and dispense liquid substances having a wide variation in viscosities. The container includes a container body that defines a storage compartment for storing the liquid substance and is provided with a neck including a seal positioned in the neck to seal a liquid substance in the storage compartment during storage. The container also includes a cap defining a recess and being adapted for engaging the neck and including structure for piercing the seal and a channel which passes through the structure for piercing the seal to the recess. An applicator is located in the recess such that the applicator and recess together define a chamber between an end of the channel and the applicator to allow liquid to flow from said channel into said chamber.
Can end
A can end (10) has a curl (14) extending circumferentially about a longitudinal axis (50). A circumferential wall (15) extends downwardly. A strengthening member (16) is joined to lower segment of the circumferential wall (15). A center panel (12) extends radially inwardly from the circumferential strengthening member (16). A rivet (38) attaches a tab (28) to the center panel (12). A cover (60) is attached to the tab (28) and is rotation therewith. A frangible score (24) in the center panel (12) is breakable to form a pour opening (27) in the center panel (12). The cover (60) is rotatable to overlay the pour opening (27) and effectively reclose the pour opening (27) in a reclosed condition of the can end (10).
Delayed pierce, sealed container
A sealed liquid container with a bottle, base, piercer, and cap. The bottle is a blow-fill-seal container with a body, dispensing head connected to the body by a neck, and a fluid chamber. The base has a socket that accepts the dispensing head and permanently attaches to the bottle by one or more fingers extending radially into the socket and under the shoulder of the dispensing head. A keying mechanism prevents the base from rotating on the bottle. The piercer has an axially-extending, sharpened, hollow tube. In shipping mode, the piercer is turned onto the base until the tube tip is touching the dispensing head. To use, the piercer is turned until the tube tip penetrates the dispensing head into the fluid chamber, and the piercer locking mechanism is engaged to prevent removal of the piercer. A cap turns onto the piercer.
Apparatus, system, and methods for closed fluid delivery
A system, apparatus, and method for closed fluid delivery include a bottle holding a quantity of fluid. A membrane is positioned over an opening of the bottle to seal the fluid therein. A closed fluid delivery adapter has a first portion with a first mateable end connectable to the bottle along the opening of the bottle and a second portion having a second mateable end positioned to connect to a container. A fluid pathway is between the first and second portions. A puncturing structure is positioned along the fluid pathway. A removable collar is positioned between the first and second portions. The removable collar prevents the first and second portions from moving closer together. Upon removal of the removable collar, the first and second portions are movable closer together, whereby the puncturing structure punctures the membrane to allow flow of the fluid.
Spout for a package and package-spout assembly
A spout includes a base frame fittable about a designated package pour opening surface area, an opening assembly moveably coupled to the base frame and adapted to at least partially cut/rupture/open/pierce the pour opening surface area, and a control device configured to control the opening assembly. The control device comprises at least one interaction element connected to the opening assembly, at least one control ring rotatably coupled to the base frame and at least one interaction member connected/coupled to the control ring and configured to interact with the interaction element. In use, upon rotating the control ring, the interaction member interacts with the interaction element to induce translation of a cutter of the opening assembly for controlling the opening assembly from a rest configuration to an operative configuration and an axial end portion of the interaction member is arranged within a rotation plane fixed relative to the base frame.
CAN ENDS, METAL CANS AND APPARATUS FOR DISPENSING THEREFROM
A tab-less metal can end for seaming onto a metal can body. The can end comprises a substantially circular and planar panel, a chuck wall extending around the periphery of the panel and defining a curl, and a discontinuous score formed in said panel and following a circular path substantially concentric with said chuck wall, the score defining a hinge between first and second ends of the score.
Overcap with Means to Facilitate the Opening of a Container and the Subsequent Direct Consumption of its Content
This invention discloses an innovative device to effectively open a recipient or container whose cap is formed by a laminated surface, also forming a mouthpiece that allows the direct and hygienic consumption of the content within. The disclosed device is an overcap comprising: i) a base with an inner hollow space, and ii) a tab located within the hollow space of the base, having piercing and cutting means on one of its ends and comprising an inner hollow space; which is connected to the base by means of two end pieces forming an axis for the tab to be turned. Once said overcap is coupled with the container, the laminated surface can be pierced and removed/pulled away by turning the tab, thereby creating an opening in the laminate allowing the content to exit there from. The tab completes its turn when the end opposite to the one containing the piercing and cutting means reaches the base of the cap, in such a way that a mouthpiece is formed, thereby facilitating the direct and hygienic consumption of the content within a container whose cap is formed by a laminated surface, ensuring no contact between the mouth of the consumer and the container or its cap, and with no spills or splashes.
TOPPER FOR A CONTAINER
The present invention proposes a topper for a container having an upper surface, the topper including: a body adapted to engage an upper surface of the container, and a movable perforation platform having at least one protruding perforating element, the perforation platform being pushable with respect to the body from a resting position to a working position wherein the perforating element perforates the upper surface of the container. wherein the perforation platform presents in a resting position a first orientation and presents in working position a second orientation, the first and the second orientation differing by an angle of less than 30.
The present invention also proposes an assembly, and a method of using the assembly.
CAN END
A can end has a curl extending circumferentially about a longitudinal axis. A circumferential wall extends downwardly. A strengthening member is joined to lower segment of the circumferential wall. A center panel extends radially inwardly from the circumferential strengthening member. A rivet attaches a tab to the center panel. A cover is attached to the tab and is rotation therewith. A frangible score in the center panel is breakable to form a pour opening in the center panel. The cover is rotatable to overlay the pour opening and effectively reclose the pour opening in a reclosed condition of the can end.
