The first seal portion extends around a first portion of the lens receiving area. The second seal portion extends around a second portion of the lens receiving area. The second seal portion has different sealing properties than the first seal portion. The first seal portion may include a releasable seal between the first and second package layers, and the second seal portion may include a permanent seal between the first and second package layers.
MULTI-COMPARTMENT ARTICLE DISPENSING PACKAGE
A multi-compartment package for dispensing plural items is disclosed. The package includes plural individual sealed compartment units which are releasably secured to each other. Each compartment unit includes a flanged base from which a chamber depends. The chamber serves to hold an item to be dispensed and is surrounded by a flange. A closure member, in the form of a respective portion of a frangible cover sheet, is adhesively secured to the flange of each compartment unit. Each compartment unit includes at least one foldable tab in a corner of its flange, which can be folded down to enable the closure member to be removed from the compartment unit after the compartment unit is separated from other compartment units of the package.
Packaging for a molecular diagnostic cartridge
Package assemblies for storing diagnostic cartridges or storing wet/dry reagents are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a tray member defining a first volume and a second volume, and a cover member coupled to the tray member covering the first volume and the second volume. The tray member includes a central portion that separates the first volume from the second volume. The first volume is configured to receive a desiccant package and a sample container containing a first reagent. The first reagent has a solid form. The second volume is configured to receive a reagent module containing a second reagent. The second reagent has a liquid form. The cover member and the central portion of the tray member are configured to isolate the first volume from the second volume.
Flexible tray and method of transporting and storing manufactured ice shapes
A packaging assembly for transporting and storing ice includes a tray having a base portion and a plurality of compartments formed on the base portion configured to receive at least one piece of ice, optionally manufactured by a multi-day freeze process followed by shaping and three-dimensional machine cutting. Each compartment includes an opening formed on the base portion of the packaging assembly, a bottom portion substantially parallel to the base portion, at least one sidewall having a first end and a second end, the at least one sidewall connecting the base portion to the bottom portion, and at least one volume strip formed in a respective at least one sidewall. The plurality of compartments are formed as at least one of a circular frustum, a square frustum, and a rectangle frustum.
BLISTER PACK DEVICE AND METHOD
A container forming apparatus includes a plurality of forming members that have outer forming surfaces, which are shaped to form pockets in a sheet of material. A plurality of actuators are in mechanical connection with the forming members. The actuators are able to extend and retract the forming members. A controller is in electrical communication with the plurality of actuators. The controller is able to simultaneously extend any one or any combination of the forming members to create a plurality of pockets in a determined pattern in the sheet of material to produce a customized blister pack.
