A container for storing consumer products is described. The container includes a tray having a generally planar top surface into which has been formed one or more discrete cavities. A seal includes a cover film secured to the top surface of the tray to seal the one or more cavities. The cover film has pre-formed lines of separation defining a releasable portion per cavity, and a barrier patch per releasable portion secured to the cover film. Each releasable portion is attached to the remainder of the cover film by a bridge region defined by a gap in the associated pre-formed line of separation. Each barrier patch includes a main portion that is shaped and sized so that in use it overlies an associated cavity, and a securing portion that projects outwardly from the main portion and which is substantially aligned with the bridge region of the associated releasable portion.

A lid for a blister package has a continuous pattern of wire on an adhesive surface of a substrate. The continuous pattern has multiple detector segments, and the detector segments have respective destructible portions of wire at locations on the substrate corresponding to cavities of a blister sheet. Each detector segment has an outer connector portion and an inner connector portion. The outer connector portion and the inner connector portion of each detector segment are adjacent, and pairs of successive detector segments are connected by the inner connector portion of the one detector segment and the outer connector portion of the next detector segment. The continuous pattern of wire is severed at the outer connector portions and inner connector portions of the plurality of detector segments in order to disconnects the detector segments one from another, and form terminal ends of the detector segments.

A package in an aspect of the present invention includes: a package body having a receiving cavity for receiving a cavity item; a sheet for sealing the receiving cavity; a conducting wire formed on the sheet so as to pass above the sealed opening portion of the receiving cavity; and a wireless communication device formed on the sheet so as to be connected to the conducting wire. The wireless communication device transmits a signal including information which differs between before and after the conducting wire together with the sheet is cut as a result of opening the receiving cavity. The information transmitted from the wireless communication device is read by a reader. The package and the reader are used for a cavity item management system.

A blister and package system made of a blister card and an outer package with unique interacting locking mechanisms. The blister card or strip is inserted into the outer package or sleeve and locks immediately without having to further process the outer package or the blister card or strip. The user is able to expose the blisters from the outer package by disengaging the lock. The blister card or strip includes a formable, pliable sheet material, into which one or more individual cavities or blisters are formed. The separated cavities are loaded with product and sealed with one or more layers of puncturable or tearable sheet material, such as aluminum foil. The blister card or strip contains a plastic rivet assembly that forms an interference mechanism. The rivet is trapped by an internally formed panel and stopped by a catch flap included in the outer package.

Packaging For Safety Needle

Single and dual packaging for fill needles and safety needles are described herein. Such packaging can include hard packaging or blister packs. Such packaging can include a premature activation element disposed on an inner sidewall of a compartment of the packaging to nest within a recess of a tether of a safety needle device to prevent accidental activation of the safety needle device prior to use by the user.
