Child resistant peelable packaging
The invention includes a child resistant package having a first panel and at least two second panels joined to the first panel. The first and second panels are in different planes, in an embodiment. The package includes a peelable flap portion covering an access point into the package, wherein the peelable flap portion has at least one tab continuous therewith. The at least one tab is disposed on one of the second panels and the access point is disposed in the first panel. In an embodiment, at least one decoy tab is also disposed on one of the second panels.
Opening configuration for shrink-wrapped package
Non-crosslinked polyolefin films or doped crosslinked polyolefin films (i.e., crosslinked polyolefin films that include a tear-alignment additive) may be used to shrink-wrap packages to create a wrapped package that is protected from tampering and damage but is also easy to open with little effort required by the customer. There is no need for perforations, and the films are quiet when torn, folded, cut, etc. Tear initiating cuts may be formed in the film. A tab may be placed over the film, and when the tab is pulled it applies enough force to start a pair of straight tears. The tears may be parallel or perpendicular to each other. The tears propagate in non-crosslinked polyolefin easily in the machine direction of the film as the tab continues to be pulled. In a doped crosslinked polyolefin, the tears propagate in the machine direction or perpendicular to the machine direction of the film.
PRIMARY PACKAGE CONTAINING PERSONAL CARE ARTICLE
A personal care product comprising a primary package with a thermoform portion and a lidding film. The thermoform portion includes a peripheral flange and the lidding film is peelably sealed to the peripheral flange. The primary package can comprise a moisture vapor transmission rate of less than 0.25 g/m.sup.2/day. The thermoform portion is adapted to hold a solid personal care article and the primary package can protect the personal care article from compression.
FLEXIBLE MATERIAL FOR FLEXIBLE PACKAGE
A flexible, stackable, recloseable container for storing a quantity of products comprising a plurality of walls defined by a first sheet and a second sheet attached to at least a portion of the first sheet. The second sheet extends over at least three of the walls. The opposing container walls each have a sealed portion and one or more tucks, the tucks comprising a portion of the first sheet tucked toward the interior volume. A portion of the second sheet defines a recloseable feature located over an opening for reclosing the container. The second sheet includes a line of reduced strength at or adjacent at least a boundary adjacent the tucks and disposed between the opposing container walls each having the sealed portion and an adjacent container wall. The second sheet can include a hinge about which the recloseable feature pivots from closed position to open position.
Easy open plastic bags
A woven laminated plastic bag having an easy open feature is provided. The easy open feature is generally defined by a weakened portion in the bag. In various aspects the bag can be fabricated from a woven polypropylene and/or polyethylene layer which can be laminated with a film layer, can form a pinch bottom bag, and can have one or both sides include graphics and/or printing. The bag can also provide a top end and/or a bottom end either or both of which provide a discrete area which may contain discrete graphics and/or printing.
A PACK
A pack (30) comprising a base (3) containing a group of tobacco industry products (4) wrapped in a barrier material (5) that comprises a removable section (5a) to define an extraction opening (8) for the removal of tobacco industry products is disclosed. The pack has lid (2) attached to the base for rotation between open and closed positions and a lid front wall (37) having an inner surface (45) and a lid front wall flap (46) having front and rear (46b) faces. The lid front wall flap is folded relative to the lid front wall about a fold along a lower edge (44) of the lid front wall and comprises a first portion (47) extending from the fold. The rear face of the lid front wall flap formed by the first portion is attached to said inner surface of the lid front wall. The lid front wall flap also comprises an intermediate portion (48) extending from, and which is configured to fold relative to, the first portion, and a second portion (50) extending from the intermediate portion which is folded relative to the intermediate portion to expose the rear face of the lid front wall flap formed by the second portion. A label (9) is attached to the removable section of the barrier material and to the lid so that, when the lid is rotated towards the open position, the removable section is lifted to open the extraction opening. The label is attached to the rear face of the lid front wall flap is formed by the second portion.
A PACK
A pack comprising: a base, the base containing a group of tobacco industry products wrapped in a barrier layer to form a bundle; a lid mounted to the base for rotation between open and closed positions; a section in the barrier layer to define an extraction opening for the extraction of tobacco industry products when the lid is in an open position; and a label having first and second surfaces on opposite sides of the label. The first surface is formed by a first region of the label attached to the section of the barrier layer and the second surface is formed by a second region of the label attached to the lid. An intermediate portion extends between said first and second regions and is configured to be weaker than each of the first and second regions.
Rigid package for tobacco articles with a hinged lid and with a wrap provided with a re-stick sealing flap
A rigid package for tobacco articles with a hinged lid and having: at least one group of tobacco articles; at least one wrap, which encloses the group of tobacco articles and has a tobacco article extraction opening closed by a re-stick sealing flap; an outer container, which houses the wrap; a lid having a rear wall, which is hinged to the rear wall of the outer container so as to allow the lid to rotate relative to the outer container; an inner container, which houses the wrap and is arranged inside the outer container in a sliding manner; and a lifting mechanism, which moves the inner container relative to the outer container, using the rotation movement of the lid, between a lowered position, in which the inner container is completely inserted into the outer container, and an extracted position, in which the inner container is partially extracted from the outer container.
