The invention relates to a pack (100) for the preparation of a food or beverage product comprising an insert (10) and a container (20), the container (20) being configured by at least one flexible sheet folded in such a way to configure a container where the ingredients for the food or beverage product are stored, the water to extract and/or infuse and/or dissolve and/or reconstitute the ingredients in the container (20) and to prepare the food or beverage product being introduced through the insert (10) through an injection hole (11) and into an inlet chamber (191), the food or beverage product once prepared being also dispensed through this insert (10), the pack (100) presenting a generally plane shape and being essentially vertically oriented during food or beverage production with the insert (10) arranged at the lower side of the pack (100) so the water is supplied into the volume of the container in an upward direction; such that the pack (100) further comprises an inlet channel (30) arranged at the inlet chamber (191) and extending vertically inside the volume of the container (20) in such a way that the water introduced via the insert (10) is conducted by the channel (30) and enters the inner volume of the container (20) through this channel (30), the height (Hpipe) of the channel (30) in the volume of the container being such that it is arranged above the ingredients in the container and allows the water exiting the channel (30) to wet the ingredients from the upper part of these, avoiding turbulence. The invention further relates to the use of a pack (100) for preparing a food or beverage product and to a method for preparing such a food or beverage product.
INFANT FORMULA RECEPTACLE WITH PLIABLE POUCH, AND INFANT FEEDING SYSTEMS
A disposable receptacle useful with an infant feeding system, including a pliable pouch. The pliable pouch may have a single compartment, or a pair of compartments wherein a first compartment is filled with powdered formula, and a second compartment is filled with distilled water. When compartmentalized, the compartments are separated by a burst seal designed to fail upon subjection to pressure of between about 1-3 lbs. The receptacles include a cylindrical fitment with a one-way valve removably positioned therewithin. A top seal of the pliable pouch is secured about the body of the fitment. The receptacles may be used with an infant feeding system having a support disc with an aperture to receive and secure the fitment, and a nipple having an internal chamber sized and configured to tightly and removably receive a portion of the fitment. The infant feeding system may optionally include a bottle and a securing ring.
Flexible container
The present disclosure provides a flexible container. In an embodiment, the flexible container include (A) a front panel, a rear panel, a first gusseted side panel, and a second gusseted side panel. The gusseted side panels adjoin the front panel and the rear panel along peripheral seals to from a chamber. (B) Each peripheral seal has (i) an arcuate body seal inner edge (ABSIE) with opposing ends, (ii) a tapered seal inner edge (TSIE) extending from each end of the body seal. (C) The flexible container includes at least one ABSIE having a radius of curvature, Rc, from 1.0 mm to 300.0 mm.
Sheet for container
Provided is a sheet for container to be used in a flexible container, the sheet for container having a plurality of films layered in the sheet for container, the sheet for container including: a first film including a first base-material layer, which is coated with a first applying-type gas barrier layer and made of a single type of material having a heat-sealing property; and a second film including a second base-material layer, which is coated with a second applying-type gas barrier layer and made of a single type of material that is a same type of material as the first base-material layer, in which: the first film and the second film are attached to each other by heat sealing; and a gas enclosing portion, which is partially non-attached and in which gas is able to be enclosed, is formed between the first film and the second film.
A CLOSURE ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A CAP WITH INTEGRATED TAMPER-EVIDENT RING AND STRAP
A closure assembly (1) comprising an article (10) with a tubular neck (11) and a cap (30) including an integrated tamper-evident ring member (50) and an integrated strap (70). The tamper-evident ring member is integrally formed to the lower edge (32c) of the skirt (32) of the cap and comprises an annular base portion (51) which is connected via one or more breakable bridges (53) to the skirt. The cap is a snap-on type cap and comprises a pair of wing-shaped handles (33) that each have, seen in side view thereon, an outer periphery (34) with a bottom side (34a), a top side (34b), and a tip (34c) remote from the skirt. The strap is integral at a first end (71) thereof to the annular base portion and at a second end (72) thereof to one of the wing-shaped handles and is adapted to remain connected to both the annular portion of the tamper-evident ring member and the respective wing-shaped handle upon removal of the cap from the neck of the article by the user.
