CONTAINERS FOR HOLDING MATERIALS
20190023470 · 2019-01-24 ·

The invention provides for a container that may include a liquid-holding vessel and a skeleton shell supporting the liquid holding vessel. The liquid-holding vessel may comprise a flexible polymer or plastic material for preventing contact between a liquid stored in or dispensed from the container and the skeleton. The liquid-holding vessel and the closure may be formed from a minimal amount of polymer or plastic. The invention also provides for a connection of a liquid-holding vessel with a fitment to the skeleton shell using ultrasonic means. Further, a skeleton shell with mating features allowing the skeleton shell to be formed with smooth edges is provided.

Storage box with fill viewer

A storage box having a fill viewer created when the negative space of the box flaps are combined when the flaps are folded to close the box.

Box with inner bag for liquid food

A rigid box with a wall defining an inner chamber into which extends a flexible bag for a liquid or viscous food to be consumed in a suitable serving temperature range, whereby the flexible bag is associated with a part comprising a valve. The box is provided with passages suitable for the flow of an aqueous medium within the inner chamber outside the flexible bag so as to control the temperature of the food to be consumed.

Sterile or aseptic connection system
20180361135 · 2018-12-20 ·

A method and apparatus to make a sterile or aseptic connection between a container of material, such as a fluid, to a terminus using tubes or hoses interspersed with connectors. The system keeps the material container, material, connectors, tubes or hoses and terminus sterile or aseptic from when making connection through to the evacuation of the material container. The system is substantially comprised of connectors to attach tubes or hoses contiguously by making the connection within an enclosure. The enclosure is used to make and keep the portion surrounding the connectors and enclosure attachments in contact with sterilant or sanitizer as a means to make and keep the system sterile or aseptic. It further includes the means of repeating the process after a material container has been depleted followed by the connecting of a new material container to insure any potential contamination has been eradicated before the process of depletion resumes.

RIGID PACKAGE FOR MOISTURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE
20180362227 · 2018-12-20 ·

A container for use in a gravity-fed dispenser, particularly for construction adhesives, includes a top surface with an outlet port, a bottom surface with a venting port and side walls, said side walls including two opposed indentations that provide handle grasps for a user, allowing the user to hold the container in an upside down position while it is attached to a dispenser. The vent on the bottom surface allows the contents to flow evenly through gravity out of the outlet port.

Containers for holding materials

A container includes: a skeleton shell defining a container body of the container, the skeleton shell being formed from a recycled and/or biodegradable pulp material; and, a bag or liner removably disposed within the skeleton shell. Wherein the skeleton shell includes at least one separation feature that facilitates separation of the skeleton shell from the bag or liner.

Water box apparatus and method
10131480 · 2018-11-20 · ·

An apparatus includes a box including one or more side walls, each of which defines an inside surface. A bag is disposed in an internal region defined by the box. Drinking water is contained in the bag, the water being non-alcoholic. The bag is adapted to protect the water from contaminants, tastes, and odors, each of which originates from either the bag itself or a source external to the bag. A water-resistant coating may be applied to the respective inside surfaces. When condensate forms on the bag, the water-resistant coating at least resists absorption of the condensate into the one or more side walls. The apparatus may include a spout, which permits the water to be dispensed from the bag for human consumption. In an exemplary embodiment, the water is treated with a sanitizing additive such as, for example, ozone. The apparatus mitigates the environmental impacts of drinking water packaging.

GRAVITY FED VISCOUS LIQUID AND FOOD PRODUCT DISPENSING SYSTEM
20180327248 · 2018-11-15 ·

A liquid and semi-liquid product dispenser that achieves high product extraction rates by using a product bottle that slopes downwards towards the feed valve when the bottle is placed for dispensing. This includes a long sloped portion that extends downwards from the rear of the bottle to the front of the bottle, and a curved and sloped portion proximate to the valve. These slopes feed product to the valve under the force of gravity when it is opened, and are able to achieve high extraction rates without active pumping systems or mechanical press systems. Installation of product bottles is simplified by an interior design of the dispenser case that mirrors the bottles contours and ensures that the bottle is positioned for use when placed. Installation is also simplified in that connection of pumps or placement of press systems is not required.

Oversize beverage carrier box

A corrugated board carrier for an interior bulk beverage container is provided with a larger base, integral handles, and a ramp insert to promote gravity dispensing of beverages therein through a spout.

A VALVE ASSEMBLY
20240318730 · 2024-09-26 ·

A valve assembly (300) comprising a valve body (302) and a mono-material plunger (304). The valve body (302 has a primary opening (314) and a secondary opening (315) that are axially spaced apart. The plunger (304) comprises a primary seal 5 portion (316) and a secondary seal portion (317). The plunger (304) comprises the following operational positions with respect to the valve body: a transit seal position in which the primary seal portion (316) of the plunger (304) is in contact with the valve body (302) in order to occlude the primary opening (314); and a fluid flow position in which the plunger (304) is maintained in the fluid flow position by an external force 10 and a force caused by a pressure differential across the valve assembly (300).
