LINER FOR BEVERAGE AND FOOD VESSELS
A liner for use with a fluid dispensing vessel. The liner includes a flexible pouch defining an interior region and configured to be placed in a fluid dispensing vessel. The pouch includes a top end that is partially sealed and that includes a first opening. The pouch includes a fluid passageway defined by at least two sealed boundaries and that leads from the opening to the interior region. The pouch includes a bottom end that includes a second opening. The liner includes a fluid dispensing fitment connected to the pouch and configured to be in fluid communication with interior region via the second opening. When fluid is poured into the interior region of the pouch through the opening, it can be dispensed from the pouch through the fitment.
Bag-in-box container for storing and transporting liquids with a maximum security tap for consumption directly or by means of flexible tubes
The invention relates to a bag-in-box container for storing and transporting liquids with a maximum safety tap for direct consumption through flexible tubes, for housing a filled bag with two opposite vertical positions for handling and transport, and another position for dispensation, with better safety control and a content outflow anti-blocking system; and spouts with direct connection to tube lines for the conduction of and mixing with other products at a distance, or for visible dispensation without touching the container at a shorter distance, with another end tap, a flow interrupter with a deformable elastic element connected with flanges that can be actuated between normal and safety closed positions, a nozzle that can be connected to one of the spouts for direct dispensation into the mouth, and a set of measurements printed on the box to help sorting and recycling the components of the container.
BAG-IN-BOX BEVERAGE CONTAINER
A container assembly for use in containing fluids includes an outer shell having a plurality of sidewalls, a top portion, a handle formed in the top portion, and an aperture formed in one of the sidewalls. The outer shell is formed from a blank. A securement strip is formed on the top portion. A securement slit is formed on the top portion and configured to receive the securement strip.
Carton and blank for carton
The present invention provides a carton for a bag in box packaging. The carton has the overall configuration of a rectangular parallelepiped, with two pairs of opposing sidewalls and an upper end portion and a lower end portion, together defining a cavity for receiving a liquid holding bag. In the lower end portion there are a first pair of opposing flaps and a second pair of opposing flaps. The carton further has an opening extending through one sidewall in the lower end portion for dispensing liquid from a bag positioned inside the cavity. According to the invention the first pair of opposing flaps are foldable into an open position, in which the flaps extend outwards from the cavity to form a pair of legs. The legs are interlockable with a flap of said second pair of flaps so as firmly to fix the position of the legs with regard to the carton. The leg-forming flaps support the carton in an elevated position with respect to a surface thus facilitating dispension of liquid through the opening.
Containers for Holding Materials
The invention provides for a container that may include a liquid-holding vessel and a skeleton shell supporting the liquid holding vessel. The liquid-holding vessel may comprise a flexible polymer or plastic material for preventing contact between a liquid stored in or dispensed from the container and the skeleton. The liquid-holding vessel and the closure may be formed from a minimal amount of polymer or plastic. The invention also provides for a connection of a liquid-holding vessel with a fitment to the skeleton shell using ultrasonic means. Further, a skeleton shell with mating features allowing the skeleton shell to be formed with smooth edges is provided.
Container
A container is disclosed. The container includes a fillable bladder in an interior of an enclosure of the container. The container has a sump region which assists in the removal of a pumpable product from the fillable bladder.
Tapping device for at least one bag-in-box packaging
A tapping device for at least one bag-in-box packaging equipped with a tap valve, comprising at least one accommodating area for the bag-in-box packaging, wherein the accommodating area has at least one loading opening, at least one device door that closes the loading opening of the accommodating area, wherein the device door has at least one trigger of an operating apparatus that corresponds to the tap valve, and at least one beverage outlet associated with the tap valve, the operating apparatus has at least one operating element that acts from above on certain parts of the tap valve in order to operate the tap valve and at least one valve accommodating bearing is provided in the area of the loading opening, the at least one valve accommodating bearing having bearing surfaces for wings of the tap valve protruding at least on both sides of the valve housing.
SELF-STANDING BARREL POUCH
A flexible pouch having a pair of spaced apart flaps is provided. The flexible pouch includes a pouch body having a generally cylindrical shape. The flaps are disposed along the longitudinal length of the pouch body as to help prevent the pouch body from rolling over when laid on its length. The pouch may further include a fitment and an intermediate portion having a ramp shaped portion. The ramp shaped portion is opposite the fitment and slanted so as to direct fluids towards the fitment.
PIERCE AT FIRST USE FLUID DISPENSING VALVE AND FLEXIBLE PACKAGE INCLUDING THE SAME
A package including a fitment for dispensing a liquid from a flexible bag is disclosed. The fitment is secured to the bag and includes a compressible bulb and a piercing member that are coupled together. The fitment is configured such that when the bulb is first actuated, e.g., pressed, it causes the piercing member to pierce through the wall of the bag so that the contents of the bag can be dispensed through an outlet port of the fitment. In one embodiment of the fitment a portion of the piercing member is permanently located within the bag after first use and a valve is provided to open and close the outlet port thereafter. In another and more preferred embodiment the piercing member is extended into and out of the bag to dispense the contents of the bag through the outlet port, without necessitating use of a separate valve to open and close that port.
SYSTEM FOR COMPLETE DISPENSING OF FLOWABLE MATERIALS FROM A BULK SHIPPING CONTAINER
The present invention is directed to a system for fully dispensing liquid from a bulk shipping container. The system includes a bulk bin and a cassette disposed therein. The cassette includes a cassette board, a liquid bag having inlet and outlet ports and an air inflated bag that is attached to the liquid bag. The air bag includes an air inlet port formed at one end thereof and used for inflating the air bag from a source of pressurized air. The air bag further includes an obstruction region defined by a weld line that is formed on an opposite end from the air inlet port to redirect the pressurized air within the air bag when inflating the air bag reaches a level at which the pressurized air counteract the liquid pressure within the liquid bag so as to urge the liquid toward the outlet port of the liquid bag.
