The laminate structure comprises an outer layer having a cut line which defines a flap that is separable from the outer layer, wherein the outer layer is adhered to an inner layer having a cut line which is offset from the outer cut line and defines a portion that is separable from the inner layer along the inner cut line and defines an opening into the packaging structure. The adhesive between the layers comprises, in an embodiment, a channel of pressure sensitive adhesive which surrounds both the outer cut line and the inner cut line, wherein the channel of pressure sensitive adhesive defines the perimeter of at least one adhesive-free valve chamber within said channel. The valve chamber comprises at least a portion of the outer cut line and the inner cut line.

Multi-layer film and reclosable film package

A multi-layer film and a film package made from the film are described herein that provide resealing capabilities by utilizing a tacky layer within the multi-layer film. The multi-layer film can include an outer film portion including the embedded tacky layer and an inner film portion. An opening feature formed in the multi-layer film includes a flap configured to be manipulated by a user to create an opening through the multi-layer film. The inner film portion can include a release layer configured specifically to interact with the tacky layer to provide a desired separation peel force and resealing functionalities. The outer film portion can include an outer film layer disposed on an opposite side of the tacky layer from the release layer that is configured to permanently adhere to the tacky layer.

A composite sealing film, which includes: a layer of base film for being heat sealed onto a periphery of an opening of a beverage cup, the layer of base film having a through hole at a position thereon for being adjacent to the periphery of the opening of the beverage cup, where the layer of base film includes a stacked structure of at least a sealing layer and a surface layer; and a covering sheet, which is re-adherable by having an adhesive on a bottom surface thereof and has one end fastened to the layer of base film on one side of the through hole, whereby the covering sheet can be repeatedly opened and adhered to the layer of base film to enable a user to expose the through hole or close the through hole according to the user's need.

FLEXIBLE PACKAGING STRUCTURE WITH A BUILT-IN OPENING AND RECLOSE FEATURE

A flexible packaging laminate is formed to have a built-in opening and reclose feature by forming the laminate as a two-part structure having an outer structure joined in face-to-face relation with an inner structure. Score lines are formed in both structures to enable an opening to be formed through the laminate by lifting an opening portion (e.g., a flap or the like) of the two structures out of the plane of the laminate. The score line through the outer structure defines a larger opening than the score line through the inner structure, such that a marginal region of the outer structure extends beyond the edge of the opening portion of the inner structure. A pressure-sensitive adhesive is used to re-adhere the marginal region to an underlying surface of the inner structure adjacent the opening through the laminate.

The atmospheric control attributes can include perforations that may be positioned in breathable peel/reseal film portion of the package to allow the product respiration for multiple servings without substantially altering the shelf life extension properties of the packaging device.

A battery package is described herein that advantageously maintains separation between batteries received therein while also providing a resealable opening to sequentially retrieve batteries therefrom. Further, the battery package can include an outer covering.

A ring-peel-seal liner is revealed, the ring-peel-seal liner includes a metal sealing layer and an adhesive layer. The metal sealing layer has a first annular tear line, and is defined into an annular region and a central region by the first annular tear line, wherein the annular region encircles the central region. The adhesive layer is adhered on one surface of the metal sealing layer. With the ring-peel-seal liner described above, the issue of needing an additional liner for enhancing a sealing effect after opening a conventional packaging container is resolved.

The second ply further comprises a first stopping feature adjacent a first end of the first line of weakness and a second stopping feature adjacent a second end of the first line of weakness.
