PACKAGING MATERIAL
A packaging material includes: an outer box that accommodates an article to be packaged; and a cushioning material including: a sealed bag body with gas confined inside; a partition that divides an inside of the bag body into a first chamber and a second chamber each in an equal volume; and a ventilation passage communicating the first and second chambers, the cushioning material being disposed in a gap between an outer surface of the article and an inner wall of the outer box.
Inflatable packaging
Some examples include a plurality of inflatable units that may be secured to an item as packaging to protect the item during transport or other shipping. The inflatable units may be inflated to a threshold pressure and placed at the corners of the item to be transported. In some cases, prior to placement of the inflatable units at the corners of the item, beams may be placed between the inflatable units that will serve as the bottom inflatable units. Straps may be used to secure the inflatable units against the item, and the packaged item may be transported to a destination. Upon receipt of the shipped item, the recipient may remove the inflatable units from the corners of the item, deflate the inflatable units, and send the inflatable units and the straps back to the sender, who may reuse the inflatable units and the straps.
Cushioning material, packing material, and packed goods
Provided is a cushioning material for being put into a packing box configured for encasement of electronic equipment. The cushioning material absorbs external stress applied to the electronic equipment encased in the packing box. The cushioning material includes: a first holder including a first plate configured to face the electronic equipment when the cushioning material and the electronic equipment are encased in the packing box, and a second plate configured to face an inner wall surface of the packing box when the cushioning material and the electronic equipment are encased in the packing box; and a first cushioning block provided between the first plate and the second plate.
SECURING DEVICE
A securing device includes a base and a sheet placed on the base. The sheet includes a hole. A securing support is disposed opposite the hole of the sheet. A coupler secures the sheet to the base through the securing support. The securing support includes a contact face that contacts the coupler. The contact face includes a notch through which the securing support is removed from the coupler to separate the base from the sheet without removing the coupler.
CORNER BUMPER
A corner bumper is adapted to be mounted to a corner of a substantially hard-sided carryable case, transport container, or the like, to act as a shock absorber for protecting the case and its contents from exterior impact. The bumper comprises intersecting wall portions to substantially cover the adjacent planes of a corner. The bumper includes feet elements to act as a base upon which the case can stand and space the base a distance from the underlying support surface.
Appliance packaging system and method
A unit package (10) is utilized to hold an appliance (12) such as a microwave oven. The unit package may include an impact absorbing base (14) which supports the appliance. A transparent flexible liner (40) extends in surrounding relation of the appliance. A plurality of straps (44) including respective flexible loops (46) which serve as handles, extend in surrounding relation of the liner, the appliance and the base. A plurality of unit packages are arrangeable in a stack for transport including layers of rows in supported connection with a pallet (52). A sleeve (64) extends in surrounding relation of the stack. Frangible adhesive strips (84, 86) enable opening the sleeve to expose the unit packages.
Foldable and Biodegradable Cushioning Sheet
The invention is directed to a foldable and biodegradable cushioning sheet comprising a plurality of cushions, which sheet comprises a flexible base film and a plurality of cushions located on the top surface of the flexible base film; and wherein the cushioning sheet can be folded to provide a sturdy inside corner, wherein an object can be placed, such that the object is protected and if needed immobilized, for example during packing and transporting.
Corner boards, container assemblies including the same, and methods of making and using the same
A corner board includes first and second sides, each including a board material; a bend between the first and second sides, joining first and second sides together; and a slit adjacent to a first end of the corner board, the slit completely crossing the bend and partially crossing the first and second sides. In addition, a method of manufacturing a corner board includes bending a board stock to form first and second sides of the corner board with an angle therebetween; cutting the board stock into fixed lengths, the bent and cut board stock forming the corner board; and forming a slit near a first end of the corner board. The present corner board may be advantageously rested or placed along a vertical edge of a container or stack of containers.
PACKAGING BODY
A packaging body includes a base on which a packaging target is placed, a box including first flaps and second flaps, and a binding body configured to bind the base and the box and disposed between the first flaps and the second flaps. The box has a rectangular shape and an upper opening portion and configured to cover a top face and side faces of the packaging target. The first flaps are disposed in pairs opposing to each other extending from opposite scorelines of the upper opening portion and including an opening through which an included object is inserted. The second flaps are disposed in pairs opposing to each other extending from different opposite scorelines of the upper opening portion and configured to be folded over the first flaps when the first flaps are folded. The first flaps further include partial flap portions.
COOPERATIVE PACKAGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A cooperative packaging system includes a base package, a first member, a second member, and a third member. The base package includes a first side and a second side. The second side is contiguous with the first side. The first member covers a portion of the first side of the base package. The second member covers the second side of the base package. The third member covers the first member and a portion of the second member. The first member and the second member are configured to mitigate impacts sustained by the cooperative packaging system prior to the impacts being transferred to the base package.
