Pack for tobacco articles provided with a sealed wrap with an inner pressure that is different from the atmospheric pressure and relative wrapping method
A pack provided with: a group of tobacco articles; and a sealed wrap, which encloses the group of tobacco articles, has a pull-out opening for the tobacco articles, has an inner pressure that is different from the atmospheric pressure, and consists of a heat-sealable sheet of wrapping material, which is folded around the group of tobacco articles and is stabilized by means of heat-sealing.
Anti-odour Multilayer Packaging Films and Packages Made Therefrom
The present invention relates to anti-odour packaging films and to packages made therefrom. In particular, the present invention relates to anti-odour multilayer gas barrier films including specific anti-odour compounds in at least in one inner layer. These anti-odour films are particularly suitable for food packaging, especially poultry packaging.
FOOD PACKAGE
A food package comprising a sealed flexible pouch and a utensil, the pouch containing one or more food items. The inferior of the pouch is depleted of oxygen, and the one or more food items are held in substantially fixed positions within the pouch. The food package is resealable after opening.
Greeting card having compressed object therein and method of selectively controlling deformation thereof
A greeting card having a transparent and flexible pouch enclosing a deformable object is disclosed. The transparent and flexible pouch is vacuum sealed with the deformable object inside, such that the deformable object compresses. A transparent insert may be placed inside of the transparent and flexible pouch, in order to minimize disfiguration of the deformable object during the compression process.
Pouring device
Disclosed is a pouring device suitable for piercing and emptying a granular material contained in a vacuum-sealed package, including: a tubular body, having a duct for the flow of the material, extending from an inlet opening positioned at a first end of the tubular body to an outlet opening for the granular material, positioned at a second end of the tubular body; and a hollow piercing tool having a distal end ending in a pointed tip, and a widened base at the proximal end thereof, rigidly connected to the body. The device further includes a shoulder serving as a stop coming into contact with the wall of the package to stop the pouring device when the wall is pierced by the piercing tool, and possibly a bowl bringing the granular material having escaped the hollow portion of the piercing tool into the inside of the hollow portion by gravity.
Vacuum packing methods and apparatus for tobacco
Apparatus and methods of packing leaf tobacco preserve the integrity of tobacco, help retain freshness and moisture content of tobacco, and also help eliminate insect infestation. A method of packing tobacco includes supplying a quantity of tobacco into a plurality of open containers; closing the opening containers; inserting the closed containers within a flexible, non-porous bag having a closeable opening; closing the opening of the bag; and extracting air from the bag so as to create a sub-atmospheric pressure therein. The bag is configured to hold one or more tobacco containers, such as C48 or A48 cartons. In some embodiments the bag may be configured to hold up to six containers, such as C48 or A48 cartons.
Packaging Assembly
A packaging assembly for a medical device includes at least one pouch, such as a first pouch and a second pouch, sealed so as to provide a sterile barrier between the environment and the medical device received in the first pouch, which in turn is received in the second pouch. The packaging assembly further includes at least one support member, wherein, in an assembled configuration, at least the first pouch and the support member are secured against movement relative to each other by at least one of the first and second pouches being folded around the support member. The at least one of the first and second pouches is folded around the support member such that at least the first pouch and the support member are secured against movement relative to each other, either before or after inserting the first pouch with the medical device into the second pouch. The support member may hold the packaging assembly within a secondary packaging, which corresponds in size and shape to the packaging assembly.
