An exemplary container for consumer goods includes a rigid outer box and a rigid inner box. The outer box has a hinged top configured to provide access to an inner volume of the outer box. The inner box is a laminate of paperboard and an inner liner and pre-cut opening configured to provide access to an inner volume of the inner box. A pull tab covers the opening. The pull tab includes a first adhesive that releasably adheres an edge portion of the pull tab to the inner box and a second adhesive that permanently adheres the pull tab to the inner box and the outer box.

A hinge lid pack (100) of smoking articles comprising a bundle (104) of smoking articles having a plurality of faces wrapped in a wrapper (106) of flexible sheet material, a housing (102) comprising a pack body (108) and a pack lid (110) hinged to the pack body. Free edge margins of the generally inside surface of the wrapper are adhered together over a first (face 114) of the bundle to form a fin seal (112) that is adhered to the wrapper over a second face of the bundle.

An outsert for affixing to a product package includes a base layer, a top layer, and a printed document. The base layer includes a perforated region arranged to be aligned with a tear tape on an outer wrapping of the package. The top layer is arranged on the base layer and has one or more edge regions adhered to the base layer. The printed document is enclosed in an inner volume established between the base layer and top layer. A laminate layer can be disposed in the inner volume between the top layer and the printed document to increase the rigidity of the outsert.

A container of consumer goods includes a rigid outer box and a rigid inner box wherein a pull tab is configured to reseal a pre-cut opening in the inner box. The pull tab includes a cover layer larger than the pre-cut opening. The cover layer can be a piece of bundle wrap with a paper layer of the bundle wrap contacting the consumer goods inside the box. The outer box has a hinged lid permanently attached to a connecting tab of the pull tab whereby opening the hinged lid simultaneously opens the pre-cut opening in the inner box by lifting the pull tab. The connecting tab includes adhesive which is partially deadened to decrease adhesion of the connecting tab to the inner box. The pull tab can also include one or more machine readable markings to enhance automated application of the pull tab to an inner box blank during manufacturing of the container.

The inner frame is paperboard having a pre-cut opening configured to provide access to an inner volume of the inner package. The pull tab covers the opening with a first adhesive that releasably adheres an edge portion of the pull tab to the inner frame and a second adhesive that permanently adheres the pull tab to the inner package and the outer box.

A package (40) of tobacco-related articles comprises a sealed enclosure (2) comprising flexible barrier sheet material wrapping a charge of tobacco-related articles (30) and forming a front wall (4), a rear wall, two lateral walls, a top wall and a bottom wall, the front wall (4) having a larger area than the top wall. An access opening (12) extends over part of the front wall (4)and optionally part of the top wall and is covered by a resealable flap (20) which is foldable about a hinge line located at or close to the top wall to permit access to the interior of the package. The flap (20) comprises a label (18) having adhesive edge zones (22) adapted to seal the flap (20) when the flap covers the access opening (12). The portion of the label (18) extending at the front wall (4) of the enclosure(2) has a length of at least 65% of the length of the front wall (4).
