Cargo bin
A cargo bin is disclosed. The cargo bin can include a base having an upper surface, and a first side pivotally attached to a first edge of the base. The first side can include a rigid frame and a spanning material. The cargo bin can include a second side pivotally attached to a second edge of the base. The second side can include a rigid frame and a spanning material. The cargo bin can include a front side. The front side can include a spanning material attached on a first end to the rigid framing of the first side. The front side can also include a support attached to a second end of the spanning material, the second end opposite the first end, a first tip of the support configured to be insertable into a first hole in the base to close the front side. The cargo bin can include a back side.
Method and apparatus for shipping and storage of cryogenic devices
An International Organization for Standardization (ISO) shipping container 10 includes a cryogenic refrigeration system 14 for cryogenically cooling superconducting magnet(s) 12.sub.A, 12.sub.B during transit. The cryogenic refrigeration system 14 monitors the temperature and/or pressure of the superconducting magnet(s) and circulates a refrigerant to the superconducting magnet(s) to maintain cryogenic temperatures in superconducting coils. A power supply 16, provided by a transportation vehicle, connects to the cryogenic refrigeration system via a power inlet 20 which is accessible from the exterior of the shipping container. The superconducting magnet(s) are suspended within the shipping container which is then loaded onto the transportation vehicle. The external power supply is connected to the cryogenic refrigeration system such that refrigerant is circulated to a cold head 22.sub.A, 22.sub.B of each superconducting magnet. Maintaining cryogenic temperatures during transit minimizes losses to any liquid cryogen or gaseous cryogen installed in the superconducting prior to transit.
TRANSPORT CONTAINER FOR INTERMEDIATE BULK CONTAINERS WITH DANGEROUS GOODS
A transport container (vehicle) used to transport, lift, and transfer approved IBCs containing dangerous goods (including liquids) in Open Seas environments. The transport container meets all criteria specified by DNV-GL for certification of offshore containers intended for transport of approved IBCs for dangerous goods in Open Seas and has been certified by DNV-GL as such. It also provides a (solid) full enclosure of the IBC which provides protection an all sides, top and bottom. An offset hinge, rolling, or retractable, top lid provides a top opening for vertical loading of the IBC, while also providing complete protection of the top, when closed. A hinged door panel provides for front protection while allowing for lateral loading of the IBC. The transport container also incorporates guidance features to ensure the IBC is properly positioned inside the container when loading, and a catch well to contain drips or accidental spillage.
METHODS OF USING MODIFIED SHIPPING CONTAINERS
Methods and apparatuses for shipping of fabricated rectangular wooden modules used for construction of a wood frame structure and for shipping of other bulky items are described. In particular, the disclosure features a modified shipping container for shipping the fabricated rectangular wooden modules and methods of loading, transporting, and unloading the fabricated rectangular wooden modules. The modified shipping container features a removable header system and a removable cover. The fabricated rectangular wooden modules include a module length axis, a module width axis, a bounded wood perimeter, and joists or rafters oriented perpendicularly to the module length axis, and are stacked as cargo in the interior of the container such that joists or rafters of the fabricated rectangular wooden modules are substantially vertical and the length axes of the modules are substantially parallel to a length axis of the container.
Openable structure for a substructure
The invention relates to an openable structure for a substrate, such as a lorry, trailer, semitrailer, railway wagon, dumper truck or container, comprising a tarpaulin framework to which, for example, a tarpaulin made of weather-resistant material or a plurality of hingedly couplable wall elements can be connected, wherein the tarpaulin framework has a plurality of slides which are shiftable along at least one guide, wherein the guide comprises a longitudinal member element along which the slides are shiftable. An openable structure permitting smooth opening and closing of the structure is provided according to the invention in that the longitudinal member element is arranged adjustably at least in sections in a direction transversely with respect to the shifting direction of the slides.
METHODS OF ASSEMBLY OF PREFABRICATED TRUSS CONSTRUCTION MODULES
The disclosure provides a method that includes providing or assembling a rectangular horizontal member, joining a vertical member to the rectangular horizontal member such that the vertical member bisects a length of the horizontal member and forms a T-junction at the horizontal member, joining first and second sloped members to the rectangular horizontal member and vertical member such that the first and second sloped members span from a top of the vertical member to opposing ends of the horizontal member, and joining first and second support members such that the first and second support members span from the T-junction between the vertical member and horizontal member to work points on an underside of each of the first and second sloped members. The structure thus formed can be assembled from prefabricated units shipped together in parallel planar orientation in a shipping container to provide a roof truss unit.
Tarpaulin retraction and extension device.
A device for covering at least part of a container using a tarpaulin. The device includes an actuator assembly operable selectively in a manual mode and in a motorized mode.
APPARATUS FOR COVERING A CONTAINER LOAD
An apparatus for covering an open top of a transportation trailer container includes a frame on top of the container. The frame surrounds an aperture for flow of material into the container. The apparatus also includes an arm pivotable between a closed position and an open position. The arm holds a rotatable roller for dispensing and receiving a flexible cover. The flexible cover is wrapped around the roller when the arm is in the open position. The flexible cover is unrolled from the roller to cover the aperture due to motion of the arm from the open position to the closed position. The frame includes a side portion having an inwardly and upwardly tapered outer surface. The roller contacts the outer surface when the arm is in the closed position.
PREFABRICATED TRUSS CONSTRUCTION MODULES
The disclosure provides an article of manufacture that includes a rectangular horizontal member, a vertical member bisecting a length of the horizontal member and forming a T-junction at the horizontal member, first and second sloped members spanning from a top of the vertical member to opposing ends of the horizontal member, and first and second support members spanning from the T-junction between the vertical member and horizontal member to work points on an underside of each of the first and second sloped members. The article of manufacture can be assembled on the ground at a construction site from prefabricated units shipped together in parallel planar orientation in a shipping container to provide a truss unit for forming the roof of a structure.
