A resealable beverage can lid has a lid having a top side having a score line forming a panel, a first rivet formed in the lid and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, a second rivet formed in the panel and extending outwardly from the top side of the lid, and a tab portion comprising a main body portion having a rear lifting portion having an indented portion, a first forward rupturing portion, a second forward rupturing portion, an opening formed in the body portion for forming a tongue having a first aperture, a second aperture, and the tab portion connected to the first rivet through the first aperture and the second rivet through the second aperture.

END CLOSURE WITH COINED PANEL RADIUS AND REFORM STEP

A method of forming a can end shell is provided which includes providing a can end shell having a central panel portion, a first panel radius around the central panel portion, a chamfer extending from the first panel radius, and a second panel radius around the chamfer, coining the can end shell to form a coined section in the first panel radius around at least a portion of the circumference of the central panel portion, and reforming the can end shell to form a step in the chamfer.

Ecology can end with pressure equalization port

An ecology stay-on tab beverage can end has a first curvilinear segment of frangible score severable to form a vent region and a pressure equalization port. A second curvilinear segment of frangible score has opposing terminal ends separated by a hinge segment of the center panel. The second curvilinear segment of frangible score is severable to form a pour opening. A lifting of a lift end of a tab actuates an opening sequence in which the first curvilinear segment of frangible score is severed causing the vent region and the pressure equalization port to form before the pour opening is completely formed.

CAN BODY

Provided is a can body containing contents such as carbonated beverages, the can body being capable of suppressing the occurrence of an unexpected opening while increasing the internal pressure resistance. In the can body, formula (A+B).Math.E/Z<1.88 is satisfied when 0<L<Y2, with the following definitions: L=D.Math.cos (1 2), A=X.Math.(L+Y1Y2)/Y1, and B=L+Y1Y2, under a condition of E<Z.

The handle may include an outer curl having a first edge that is folded along a bottom surface of the tab body and that is directed toward the medial portion. The handle may include an inner curl extending from the central opening. The inner curl may include a second edge that is folded along the bottom surface of the tab body and that is directed away from the medial portion. A distance between the first edge and the second edge may be less than 0.5 mm.

Can Shell and Double-Seamed Can End Closure

A drawn aluminum can shell has a peripheral crown which is double-seamed with an end portion of an aluminum can body to provide a can end having a generally flat center panel connected by an inclined curved or straight panel wall to an inner wall of an annular U-shaped countersink. The countersink has an outer wall which connects with a lower wall portion of a chuck wall, and the chuck wall has an upper wall portion which connects with an inner wall of the crown. The chuck wall also has an intermediate wall portion forming a break, and the inner bottom width of the countersink is less than the radial width of the panel wall.

Safety mechanism for containers

Safety cover mechanism for a container that comprises: a sealer; tracks positionable over the upper surface of the container; and a shutter member slidable over the tracks such as to allow covering and revealing the opening by sliding the shutter member over the tracks. The safety cover mechanism is configured such that sliding of the shutter member over the tracks away from the location of the opening of the container causes at least a portion of the sealer to unseal the opening thereby indicating that the container has been opened. A safety mechanism for containers with a pull or a stay-on tab and a press button sealer, where the tab pivotally connects to the container upper surface via a connecting element, wherein the safety mechanism is configured to prevent rotation of the tab over the axis of the connecting element for preventing unauthorized penetration to the container.
