Load bearing structure
The present disclosure provides a movable load bearing structure having a light weight core covered with at least one polymeric sheet for improving its loading bearing strength. The movable load bearing structure includes indentations, grooves, valleys, channels or other similar depressions on its underside. These depressions are mated with corresponding features for improved loading bearing capabilities. The load bearing structures also includes roughened side edges for improving the strength of the edges. The movable structure may be in the form of a dunnage platform or a container for storing and/or shipping cargo.
HIGH-STRENGTH FOAM BEARING PALLET
A high-strength foam bearing pallet is disclosed. The foam bearing pallet comprises a foam bearing plate and supporting legs configured on the lower end of the foam bearing plate. The foam bearing plate comprises a foam core and a PET reinforcing film covering the outer surface of the foam core to increase its strength. The PET reinforcing film is made of a PET sheet heated and fixed to the outer surface of the foam core through vacuum forming. The PET reinforcing film limits and tightens the foam core to prevent the foam core from deformation or fracture. As the outer surface of the foam core is wholly covered by the reinforcing film, and the reinforcing film limits and tightens the foam core, the foam bearing pallet will have higher strength.
Support module
A platform including a top deck is configured to receive a pallet when stacked thereon. The top deck includes at least one integrally formed recessed support configured to receive a pallet support of the pallet. The at least one recessed support includes a perimeter recessed in the top deck and which defines a cavity configured to receive the pallet support.
PLASTIC PALLET WITH REMOVABLE ELASTOMER FOOTPADS
Disclosed is a transport system (100), including: a pallet (110), formed from plastic, wherein the pallet extends heightwise from a pallet top deck (130) to a pallet bottom deck (140) to define a pallet height, lengthwise from a pallet forward end (160) to a pallet aft end (170) to define a pallet length, and widthwise from a pallet first side (190) to a pallet second side (200) to define a pallet width, wherein the pallet bottom deck defines a pocket (210), the pocket defines a pocket sidewall that extends heightwise into the pallet, from the pallet bottom deck to a pocket base to define a pocket height; and a pad (240), formed of an elastomer, having complementary shape to the pocket and configured to be removably secured within the pocket, to define a pallet foot.
Transport container
A transport container for carrying objects includes a base for supporting the objects. Opposing first and second side walls are operatively connected to the base. At least one of the side walls is movable between an extended position and a contracted position. The transport container has a first width between the first and second side walls when at least one of the side walls is in the extended position and a second width between the side walls when at least one of the side walls is in the contracted position. The second width is different from the first width. The first and second side walls are also movable between a deployed position and a collapsed position. The transport container has a first height when the side walls are in the deployed position and a second height different than the first height when the side walls are in the collapsed position.
PALLET COMPRISING FOLDED WOODEN COMPOSITE
The invention relates to a pallet (1) comprising a first plate (10) and a second plate (20), wherein said first plate (10) and said second plate (20) are parallel, and wherein said first plate (10) and said second plate (20) each extend along a length (L) and a width (W) of said pallet (1), and wherein said pallet (1) comprises a height (H) which extends transversely to said length (L) and said width (W), and wherein said pallet (1) comprises at least one supporting element (11) which is integrally formed with said first plate (10) and/ or said second plate (20), wherein said at least one supporting element (11) extends between said first plate (10) and said second plate (20) along said height (H).
APPARATUS FOR FORMING A MONOLITHIC COMPRESSED WOOD PALLET WITH INCREASED LOAD CAPACITY
An apparatus for forming monolithic compressed wood pallets with increased load capacity includes
a storage component having a chamber for collecting the mixture, inside which a first conveyor belt is accommodated for feeding a uniform layer of mixture toward an outlet. The first belt is wound around at least one motorized roller and entrained by it with a feed speed.
The apparatus also includes a pressing component with a lower mold part and an upper mold part between which a receptacle for forming a pallet is provided.
A second conveyor belt is interposed between the storage component and the pressing component. The apparatus further includes a component for modulating at least one among feed speed, the advancement speed, and the translation speed so as to obtain adjustment of quantity of mixture loaded/unloaded on/from upper portion of the second belt along an extension of the mat.
REPAIRABLE PLASTIC PALLET WITH GROMMETS IN THE TOP DECK AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A pallet includes a top deck, a bottom deck, and spaced apart support blocks coupled between the top and bottom decks. The top deck has grommet openings extending therethrough, with each grommet opening including a recessed shelf. Grommets are inserted into respective grommet openings. Each grommet includes an upper section comprising a lower lip resting on the recessed shelf, and an outer exposed surface of the upper section extending in height above the top deck. At least one mid-section is adjacent the lower lip and extends from the upper section to an underside of the top deck. At least one lower section extends from the at least one mid-section, and includes a pair of spaced apart lips resting on the underside of the top deck. An outer exposed surface of the at least one lower section extends in height below the underside of the top deck.
REPAIRABLE PLASTIC PALLET WITH CARVINGS IN THE TOP DECK AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A pallet includes a top deck, a bottom deck, and spaced apart support blocks coupled between the top and bottom decks and forming an opening therebetween for receiving a lifting member. The top deck includes at least one deck scoop area on an underside thereof. A thickness of the top deck is reduced in the at least one deck scoop area to reduce influence of top deck deflection on ability of the lifting member to pass through the opening between the top and bottom decks.
REPAIRABLE PLASTIC PALLET WITH REMOVABLE SUPPORT BLOCKS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
A pallet top deck, a bottom deck, and spaced apart support blocks coupled between the top and bottom decks. Each support block includes an inner wall surrounding an interior opening, an outer wall surrounding the inner wall, and a plurality of ribs extending between the inner and outer walls.
